   Got there at 1 pm for the 'Holiday Buffet'. It was looking pretty tired by then. Turkey was dried out and tough. I just wasn't impressed by the other stuff on offer. A mediocre cheese selection. Salad stuff was ok, but I wouldn't do this again.

   It took a while to get us seated for our 11:30 reservation - as we had to wait inline 15 minutes at the desk- and the host sat us without giving us any information ( a «Your waiter/waitress will be right with you « , would have been nice . Even a bit of friendly chatter to make us feel welcome -and this was definitely lacking ) - but once our waiter showed up everything was very good . The food was excellent - both in quality and choice and variety - the service was personable and efficient - the setting was beautiful as we were seated by large windows over looking parliament hill- and the seating was comfortable - some of the table setting was a bit ´hit and miss ´ , as one of our water glasses was chipped and one knife was stained - the flower arrangement was starting to wilt and needed to be refreshed - but these are small details compared to the quality of the grand setting and food quality - we will be coming again .

   Amazing food, big selection and all very good. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. Excellent service overall.

   We have always wanted to experience eating at Chateau Laurier. The food was not exceptional in any way. We expected it to be expensive, and it was. Can of coke was 6.00 dollars. The Mandarin buffet is very much better. We ordered 3 cocktails—-our bill was over 600 dollars—-for very run-of-the mill food. Definitely would never have any desire to go back.

   After a surprising phone call one hour before our confirmed reservation indicating that our reservation was incorrectly confirmed for a 14:00 sitting, which contradicted the Open Table reservation made one month in advance, we decided to proceed. Mike, the manager met us at the reception and assured us that the meal would be excellent and fresh. Indeed the holiday brunch was very good, the service provided by Jeremy was excellent and the overall experience was great. Thank you Chateau Laurier staff for making our Boxing Day brunch memorable.

    Food was amazing as always but service was below par. This is an annual celebration for us and our friends and we were a little disappointed.
