   Unfortunately this restaurant was not able to handle the volume of New Year’s Eve. They were severely understaffed-it took an hour to get our cocktails and two hours for our entrée. Our server continued to let us know they were running behind, but at no point did a manager or the owner who was there come up to each table to apologize in person. No effort on the restaurant’s end to provide a token of hospitality, which was disappointing. The food was good and we would try again, but not on a major holiday.

   This is one of those dining experiences where it is hard to know where to even start with a review. Suffice it to say both the service and the food were bitter disappointments. I could write a novel but I’m just going to deliver this rapid fire: - Waitress was completely unfamiliar with menu - They tried to bring entrees to table before salads and then seem confused as to why this was an issue - wine bottle ordered was wrong year and came at a $50 premium compared to menu price - Ordered sides that arrived 15 minutes after entree - Fries taste like a poor version of oreida frozen - Service was slow, sommelier was absent - beet salad was so tasteless we did not eat it - No ambiance in their side rooms, feels like a hospital dining room I’m not sure how this place is in business when literally everything is done so poorly. Avoid this place!

   They had a broken window that they replaced while we were there on New Years Eve. No one told us until they started breaking out the glass - for a repair process that lasted 1.5 of the 2 hours we spent there. They did not tell us when they called to confirm our reservation or when we arrived. Then they sat us right next to it while most of the restaurant was empty. Needless to say, my wife did not enjoy it. But, being from out of town and having reserved a table, we did not know of any other options. The manager did not really make it any better for us. I guess we should have left when other people did? Bridget, our server, was awesome. Nicholas, the executive chef, had incredible food. The NYE menu and wine pairings were great.

   We had a great experience as we have each time we have dined at WOKC. We had a wonderful conversation with one of the owners. We very much appreciated him taking the time to learn more about the customers. The food was excellent as always. We were very happy to experience the French dishes on the menu.

   Fantastic experience! Delicious food, wonderful service and stunning decor. Felt like we were transported to Paris with sophisticated French atmosphere and lovely music was a bonus
