Located in the heart of Boston's North End neighborhood, VINOTECA di MONICA serves Rustic Regional Italian cuisine and Wine Spectator’s Grand Award for one of the largest Selections of Italian wines in the city.

You no longer need to travel to Italy to experience the marriage between regional Italian food and wine. The menu focuses on the preservation of traditional regional dishes, with an unpretentious dedication to the true flavors that make regional Italian cuisine so popular.

The art of pasta and bread making are carried out daily, for your sampling, where the freshest ingredients is an everyday affair. VINOTECA di MONICA is the result of Monica’s Restaurant evolution and our passion for the Italian culture and the big role food and wine plays in its preservation.

Food was great and service was wonderful, we had to wait about 30+ mins to be sat though, after our reservation time, so just keep that in mind

Such a lovely meal for the 4 of us. The pasta was perfectly fresh and cooked al dente. Our server (Fortunato C) gave some lovely recommendations, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and a pleasure to chat to. Could not recommend more highly. Portion sizes large but does not take away from quality of food.

Really frustrating that it seemed they were running a full hour behind reservations and could not communicate that. We had a 7:30 reservation and waited on the sidewalk for an hour to be sat, along with 7+ other parties with reservations at 7:30, 7:45, 8, etc. They had 5 or more parties if 8 or more people, which seemed to have clogged things up. Being told “I’ll come get you outside in a.m few minutes” and then waiting an hour is wild, especially with my family members in their 50s and 60s. Never once did the staff come out to tell people a table was ready, people had to go periodically ask. Thank got it was unseasonably warm. We nearly left multiple times, going to the point of calling about wait times at other places, I had started to walk way to a new restaurant when my family member called me back, saying our table was finally ready (8:25pm). The server was very lovely and the food was decent, but don’t trust this place with reservations.

I am very grateful that they held my table for 30 minutes, given my error in scheduling our reservation closer to my arrival at Logan than I intended. I did notice that there was a huge crowd of people waiting to be seated who also had reservations. Given the situation, the service once we sat down was impeccable. We were celebrating my birthday, and I got better treatment than at Artu the previous week! My only complaint was that our waiter did not share when protein or vegetables cost more on a dish, which doubled the cost of my friend’s meal. She was really upset. Transparency is really important. While eating, she asked me how do you find these good restaurants! Then when we got the tab and saw the cost of her mail, she said she will never return to this restaurant.
