Located in the heart of Boston's North End neighborhood, VINOTECA di MONICA serves Rustic Regional Italian cuisine and Wine Spectator’s Grand Award for one of the largest Selections of Italian wines in the city.

You no longer need to travel to Italy to experience the marriage between regional Italian food and wine. The menu focuses on the preservation of traditional regional dishes, with an unpretentious dedication to the true flavors that make regional Italian cuisine so popular.

The art of pasta and bread making are carried out daily, for your sampling, where the freshest ingredients is an everyday affair. VINOTECA di MONICA is the result of Monica’s Restaurant evolution and our passion for the Italian culture and the big role food and wine plays in its preservation.

Service and Food were spot on. Do make sure to add a special request for your table location when you reserve. We were relegated to a table near the kitchen even with our reservation because another party had requested the window spot. Luckily there was a suitable alternative in the bar area. We ended up with a quieter and more interactive experience which was even better. We had a GREAT night, thanks to the amazing food and bartender/server sister duo. Thank you, Vinoteca di Monica!!

Entrees all came at different times, 15 minutes later than the first ones. They did offer free dessert which was helpful but when you're spending a considerable amount, you expect things to be exemplary.

Food was excellent. I had ravioli special and my partner had Chicken Parm. Both made to perfection. Waiter was so so. He made an error on salad and said I was the one who pointed to what he delivered. I had stated to him what I had wanted. He replaced salad but charged us for both. Since it was a couple days before XMAS I decided not to complain about it when bill came and I noticed the extra $14 charge. The other odd thing is that multiple waiters tell you that your table reservation is for a total of 90 minutes. It’s good to know their expectations; however, it felt excessive. It wasn’t a problem but it was odd. Again food was great. Would return and hope for a better waiter.

Wonderful experience! Great service, not too intrusive, but timely. Food quality and taste is outstanding. Portion size generous but not ridiculous. Drink quality very good. One of the best experiences in the North End.

We eat here on a somewhat regular basis as the food and service are always great. The recipes are quite flavorful without feeling heavy. It's a charming spot in the North End that you can always count on to be excellent!

We usually love Vinoteca di Monica but this time we had to wait 30 minutes for our table, even though we had a reservation. We were in town with our niece and so we wound up waiting in the very crowded bar (it seemed like they were running behind with several tables.) it was very frustrating and not well managed since we weren’t even given an estimate of how long the wait would be. The food was excellent as always but we may wait a bit before coming back.

The place was very busy given the time of the year (mid December). Service was excellent and our servers were extremely nice! Food and drinks were very good. Found the prices to be fair - it’s not their fault we ordered drinks and two bottles of wine, cranking up the total cost! Maybe one too many tables in each area made it a bit crowded, though.

The food was excellent, though we did feel a little rushed once we got it. The bar was packed as that’s where they wanted everyone to wait on their table. Our waiter was great and prompt. It was just very busy, which is probably because of how tasty it was!

It appears they over booked. Most waiting 30 minutes plus past reservation times. We ended up at the bar , bartender was gracious and professional handling the pressure. Not the best experience because of the crowd, but overall the food was excellent and service was great.
