Chef/Owners Lisa & Terry Harwood opened Vine Street Cafe in 2003. Located on South Ferry Road, just 1.5 miles from the South Ferry. Chef Terry works with area farmers, fishermen & vineyards and features their natural bounty on his seasonal menus. We make everything in house and Lisa's desserts, ice creams and fruit crisps are no exception. Recently, we opened a small market behind the restaurant. This is where you pick up take-out orders while stocking your home pantry. Specialty catering is available along with ready fresh meals such as meatballs, chicken salad, bread, smoked ribs, BBQ Sauce and a selection of artisan pastas. Reservations are highly recommended year round.

    We ve been dining here so happily since Lisa and Terry opened 21 years ago. Never a false note! Consistently excellent meals, libations and unobtrusive professional service with grace ! Some of the staff been there since opening. Also love to go Cove Hollow Tavern in Wainscott their other gem when going Southside.. Don’t miss it….Rare sustained quality , joyful service keep us coming back!

    One of our favorite dining spots. The small side room was a bit loud for our taste but the food and general ambiance can’t be beat!

    Table for four all had the prix fixe menu, which had a good number of interesting choices. Soup and Smokey beet salad were excellent. Calamari was nicely crispy but cut too thin and I couldn’t taste the squid at all. Prime rump was excellent, not much flavor to the curried chicken. One loved the scampi, one did not. Desserts were a bit on the smallish sidebut tasty. Overall, we were pleased with three evening
