   Excellent server—-Jenna. They were having a lot of large parties that evening, so food was a little off getting to the table in a timely manner. One entree delivered 5 minutes before the others. Appetizers a little off in timing, but in defense, it was a little hectic in the dining room. The food was good and the server made up for the slight inconvenience. I will go again.

   This was a good experience and close to being great. Food was really good. Service was good. The lights are really bright and needs more an evening dining light level. There was a great Spanish guitarist performing and played beautifully but was often competing with music from the bar and took away from the Italian Village ambiance of the guitarist.

   From the wine suggestions given by the wait staff, to the appetizers and then main course, the entire experience was noteworthy.

   We had stopped going to Villagio del Vino some time ago because the service and the food had gone downhill. Having seen some posts on social media about a new chef and new manager, we decided to try again. We were pleasantly surprised and will return. The food was great as was the service.

   Villaggio del Vino should consider removing the Pear Salad and Parmesan-Crusted Wood-Fired Mahi-Mahi from their menu. Both were very disappointing. I was hoping for a light and refreshing salad but was served a heavily balsamic dressed and odd tasting candied walnuts salad. I had three bites of the salad, and my main entry was served. I saved the salad for the next day, but the dressing disintegrated the spring mix, so it was not edible. The main entry was an overcooked Mahi-Mahi served with risotto. The risotto tasted like Campbell's mushroom soup. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of mushroom soup. This meal was too expensive to not be enjoyed.

   Outstanding service and excellent food as always. Villaggio del Vino is one our favorite Tyler restaurants. I recently saw a local news article indicating this restaurant has been bought by a company that owns several other restaurants in Tyler. My experiences at those other restaurants have never been quite as consistent as the experiences we’ve had at Villaggio del Vino. I trust the new ownership will maintain the high standards we come to expect from Villaggio del Vino.

    We went for brunch. We got a great table outside. Our server was very polite and attentive. There was nothing bad about our experience there. We have eaten at Villagios several times. It is always excellent.
