   I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my guest and I received during our visit to Ukai on 16/10/24. From the moment I engaged the waiter, his demeanour was abrupt, unpleasant, and he conducted himself with an authoritative manner that made both my guest and I uncomfortable. This was particularly unfortunate as it was her first experience at Ukai, a place I have always recommended highly to others. Over the years, I have introduced many people to your establishment, always expecting and receiving a high standard of service. However, this recent visit fell far short of what I know Ukai to represent. Looking back, I realize that I could have handled the situation differently in the moment, but I did not expect such a disappointing encounter from an establishment that prides itself on excellence. I trust that this is an isolated incident, but I wanted to bring it to your attention as this is not the standard of service I associate with Ukai. I would appreciate any feedback on how this can be addressed moving forward, and I hope for a more positive experience on future visits.

   Had no prior expectations of this restaurant but we all really enjoyed the meal. The restaurant was quiet - it was a very wet Tuesday lunchtime. The service was really excellent, the food arrived promptly and the portion size was perfect. Highly recommended, thank you!

   Really enjoyed my experience at Ukai the food was very very good and presented exceptionally the staff were polite and attentive and the atmosphere there was relaxed, comfortable and I’d like to go back there again

   Grilled seabass was nicely done, we had the ukai deluxe platter, the sashimi was very fresh. Great service. Sunday afternoon we enjoyed the live music 😍

   I love ukai, it is always my go to for sushi. But last night was a bit different, dont know if it is a new chef or new ingredients but it was different

   Really lovely food, great price point, too. Lots of choice of drinks and food. The gentleman waiter we had was attentive although the host didn’t offer an overly warm and friendly welcome. Saturday afternoon they have a very loud jazz band which I was not expecting and would likely not have booked had I known. The setting is really lovely though, would have been perfect if the music was even slightly quieter ( could hear them well enough without speakers on full)

   Randomly selected among the options available, we were mostly looking for a sushi restaurant. Indeed it has been a very good experience: Saturday night, quite crowded but great atmosphere with DJ set. Food was good and service very careful and quick. We reserved a table in the restaurant but at our arrival that was not yet ready. We stayed at the bar but it was good and we enjoyed the good music. Prices are in line with London downtown average
