An informal Italian restaurant serving traditional favorites along with excitingly new dishes. Trattoria Bianca is a favorite of locals, business people and travelers in midtown.
Bright and mostly white, it is a sleek reinterpretation of Italian Art Deco along with the owner's collection vintage food and wine posters.
Bianca's menu ranges from a simple bowl of spaghetti carbonara to a Tuscan-style steak and a bottle of old Barolo. Featured dishes: shrimp scampi on soft polenta; frisee salad with fried oysters, poached egg, and pork belly; seafood fritto misto; salmon saltimbocca-style with sage and crispy pancetta; numerous pastas and superb pizzas; Chianti- braised short rib, and lamb shank in rich pan juices. For lunch there are heaping salads and inventive sandwiches using Italian ingredients

    Tina our server was an absolute delight. Everything we ordered was top notch. Calamari, caesar salad, crab cake, everything! We are already planning on when we can return.

    Overall great. It was hectic and crowded but was fine for us and food/drinks were good. We (2 of us) had salmon, branzino, asparagus. It was convenient to MSG where we saw a concert.

    Nice establishment. Greeted and seated immediately. Cocktails, reasonably priced. Meatball appetizer, very good. Pork chop excellent. Short rib cannelloni not a success; seemed a bit off. Overall, I'd give it another try.

    $26 for a frozen pre-made pizza base . Absolutely disgusting. Why not advertise tourist pizza not an Italian restaurant . And they added the tip without asking what I would pay . Don’t not go here umless you want fake tourist food . My last meal in NY and what a shame this is the last thing I’ll remember . Can’t believe I went to this restaurant .

    If you are attending an event at MSG or at Penn Station, this is a convenient place to eat with good food. Place was crowded but not particularly noisy. Portion size was big. Service was slow so not a good choice if you have limited time.
