I expected a bit more as far as quality of food. Disappointed with the chicken and donut appetizer which our server removed from the bill when we said we did not like. Our main entrees were just fine, but the flow of food was slow. Our server was nice, friendly and trying but overall service was not there. Our water was not refilled often. We got the wrong dessert. This is a restaurant that requires a credit card for reservation

Ambiance great. Service wonderful. My risotto was not creamy. Very sticky. My husbands mashed potatoes were dry and barely warm. Not reaching elevated dining standards. Great flavors but some big misses on dishes that should be easy wins.

The view was beautiful! Enjoyed the food and service. My only issue was I booked for an outdoor table and when we arrived promptly for our reservation, they told us we had to wait 30-45 minutes for a table outside. It seems really unreasonable to have someone with a reservation wait for outdoor seating that was specifically requested and no apology was offered. They don’t seem to prioritize customers well in that regard and that was disappointing since we were really looking forward to sitting outside. Otherwise solid dining experience!

"I had a 5 PM reservation for a belated anniversary dinner with my girlfriend. We were excited to try this place for its view and menu. After browsing the menu, we went straight to our entrées—I ordered a rare New York strip, and she had the ravioli, with a side of mac and cheese. My steak was closer to medium-rare, and the mac and cheese tasted like buttered noodles. Our server seemed overwhelmed with a large section, so I chose not to complain. The highlight was dessert—we both loved the orange crème brûlée. Disappointed in the food but impressed by the atmosphere."

Very nice restaurant location and staff. Got chicken and donuts, 2 out of the 3 pulled chickens were cold, but tasted good. The main entree’s took a very long time. The people next to us sat down 15-20 minutes after us, and ordered about the same after us. Our food arrived 5-10 minutes after they got theirs, and we didn’t order anything special, they got a steak as well. It was just frustrating to spend $200 and have that experience, but overall a good restaurant and we probably just got unlucky.

We used to come to Top of the Rock for the duck. This last time, the DUCK was changed in preparation to a fig reduction. It was a big chuck of meat with no flavor. We loved the duck slices with the cherry sauce that they used to make!! We do like the cornbread and butter that they serve though. It's totally not worth the expensive price for just the cornbread. We were also told we would have a nice view before we were seated, and that was not the case. One of us could kinda see, and the other could not. Very disappointed this time around. Need to find a new restaurant for our special occasions!

Food was not great for the price. Service was excellent and the view was decent for the location. Overall wouldn't recommend for valentines day in the future.
