Set in a leafy residential area close to Richmond Park, The Victoria is a traditional public house and restaurant with a modern edge. Leading off from the cosy but spacious bar, The Victoria’s dining room is located in a bright and airy conservatory-style extension which overlooks a beautifully tended garden. During the day sunlight floods in, even on the darkest of days, while evening guests can dine with the stars as they twinkle over the beautiful candlelit room. With a varied and eclectic menu, The Victoria really does offer something for everyone with the best of British combining with touches of summery Mediterranean flavour, just a sprinkling of experimentation and all the skill of chef Paul Merrett and his team.

Join us at The Victoria for a celebration of local food heroes. The evening will be a dinner curated & cooked by our award-winning kitchen team celebrating local produce, local suppliers and local artisan producers. We may even send the chefs out foraging! Tickets are available for £45 per person, including welcome drink, canapé, and dinner & service. The event will start at 7.30pm with canapés & a welcome drink made with gin distilled a stone’s throw from the pub! Dinner starts at 8.00pm.

We had a really lovely Saturday afternoon lunch at The Victoria. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating - happy to change our booking as we extended our walk in a sunny Richmond Park. Food was delicious, staff hugely welcoming, great service and they even welcomed my muddy dog with a bowl of water and dog treats. Definitely recommend and will be coming back.

We had another great dinner experience, this time off the special valentines menu. Unfortunately, where we attended on the last day of a three day menu, the main course of our choice was no longer available but, the chef made up an excellent alternative which we thoroughly enjoyed. We’ll be back again soon.

We’ve eaten here before and really liked it, but Saturday (when we took guests for the first time) was really mediocre. Two margaritas were distinctly average; much of the food reheated. Burgers couldn’t be eaten as such because the base of the very cold rolls was saturated. The two waitresses were doing their best but we’re not receiving supervision or support. A bizarre thing was that I wasn’t allowed to hold on to the wine list after I’d ordered the first bottle. I wanted to decide on a red in addition to the first white, but leaving it wasn’t allowed because there aren’t many copies. Mad!

We eat here fairly regularly, usually Sunday roasts, and without fail we always have a great experience, with excellent food, served by very friendly and helpful staff, in a comfortable environment. We will be back again.

Highly recommend The Victoria for Sunday lunch based on our experience today. Delicious food, great ambience and a fab team - special shout out to Shaun for finding us an extra space so another friend could join us and for the wine recommendation. Hope to return soon - maybe for the Thursday quiz night
