The Terrace at the famous Sunset Tower Hotel debuted a new look in May of 2018, featuring a refreshed outdoor dining experience with updated furnishings and an elegant new bar. The Tower Bar Restaurant has split views of the city from either side of the lobby. It offers a swank lounge, bar and an al fresco dining experience. Custom made banquettes line the windows that showcase an unparalleled view of the Los Angeles skyline. Art deco design influences include walnut with gold inlay trim in a subtle, muted color scheme. The delectable menu features California Bistro with Italian fare. A dress code is enforced, please call for information.

We are now open daily for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is offered six nights a week, Monday-Saturday. We are unable to guarantee a seating preference of indoors or outdoors. We recommend a sweater or light coat during the evenings.

Shorts, baseball caps, sweats, sandals, tank tops, phone calls, computers and photos are not permitted.

We had never been there before, so we let the hostess choose for us. We were sat in the Terrace room, and it was a little too noisy. But, the food, service, and even with the noise the atmosphere was great. The food was exceptional.

I booked a table for 4 people over a month ago for a Christmas dinner with a client, and they didn’t even seat us in the tower bar restaurant, they sat us in the terrace bar which is not what we booked. I asked if we could be seated where I actually booked and they made no effort just saying it was full, hence why I made a booking over a month ago and arrived over an hour early. We ended up eating elsewhere because of the terrible hospitality.

Historic place. Food was nothing special and waiter was over worked. They could add more options to the menu. We were ready to spend $$$ and not much food to choose from.

Food and server were pretty ok but maitre d’ decided to ruin my wife birthday. Ask more than once to chance table and he refused every time even though he had plenty of table available to accommodate us, those table never got seated. Really really disappointed

my experience with business associates, clients and friends has always been absolutely superb! This afternoon I am reminded that these are the nicest, easiest and no fuss people. I had Tony today and usually i have Angel, both top notch and a pleasure, waitstaff lovely, Matrix d' hotel, Barbara always the perfect hostess. I wish i could come here everyday! We love the tower bar! Our table was not great. But we appreciated our server and of course, Dimitri. Next time… not next to the lobby 🙏

My go-to spot for a weekend breakfast or lunch. I’m always made to feel welcome and service is excellent all round. Angel and Pedro are especially hospitable and generous.

It’s always such a pleasure having a meal at the tower. The place is beautiful, but what makes it more special is the familiar and friendly faces. Over the years, Barbara always remembers my husband and I, even down to the table we always like to sit at. She feels like the matriarch of the place. Angel is a complete angel. He always provides the best service and conversation. We are always sad when we come in oh his off days. Overall, our favorite place to go with our favorite people to see.
