   Didn't know what to expect when I made the reservation at The Smoking Goat, but what a wonderful experience! Went there for our one-year anniversary and got seat overlooking the kitchen, which was fun to see all the amazing dishes come out. Cocktails were on point as well. Several gluten free options, including dessert! Ryan did a perfect job as our waiter. Can't wait to go back.

   This was our 6th or 7th time dining at Smoking Goat and we have loved the food, service and ambiance every time. We live in San Marcos so it a bit of a journey, 45 minutes or so, but well worth the trip. Our server Adam was stellar and the host Riley welcoming and accommodating. Please open a 2nd 'Goat' in North County!

   The food was amazing! The waiter was very quick and food was prepared quickly as well. The room was warm which was great after getting out of the rain.

   I like the food and the service. It was a Monday, so it was rather quiet which I enjoyed. I’m definitely going back for more subsistence!

   Amazing food. Pate and Mussels were excellent starters. Duck and salmon were very good mains. Highly recommend.

   The 3 of us loved everything we ordered. Steak Tartare the best we’ve had. Perfect in every way, and simple. This is a fantastic French Bistro!

   Had a great experience at The Smoking Goat! The cozy ambiance and attentive service made for a pleasant evening. We started with the escargot, which was rich and flavorful, followed by the duck à l’orange, cooked perfectly with crispy skin and a tangy citrus sauce. The quality and taste were worth the price, and I’d definitely return!

   Cane here for a late Valentine's dinner. This was our second time here and food was delicious just like the first time. We ordered the duck, the rocky Jr. Chicken, escargot and the goat cheese cheesecake was an absolute must to finish off our meal. Staff was super friendly, and food came out in a timely manner. Definitely has become one of our favorite restaurants!
