Not only can you get a juicy roast prime rib at The Parson"s Table, but you can eat it inside a church, too. The location remains very much the same structure that it was in 1885, when Little River Methodist Church was built. The cherished establishment first opened its church doors as a restaurant in the late 1970's and has been serving exquisite American steakhouse fare ever since. The restaurant's decor is positively Southern-charm antique, complete with dark wooden walls, stained glass windows and an original Tiffany glass lamp in the main dining room. An award winning wine list graces The Parson's Table as well as an outstanding fresh seafood selection.

This was our first time at The Parsons Table but definitely will not be our last. This is a beautiful restaurant with such a unique history, such friendly staff, and the food was expertly prepared and served.

The corn bread is delicious , the wine pour was generous, the salad was good but a little too much dressing but the problem was we had rack of lamb ordered medium rare and came out medium to well. When redone came out rare, they then reheated it but it just was not right and quite frankly not tasty. The place is quite nice and maybe other entrees are better.

We were seated in an additional wing of the main dining room, which was ugly white clapboard that didn’t match the rest of the building. It felt like we were eating in the basement of a rec room. The seating was very uncomfortable. The chairs are not suitable for anyone who needs lumbar support. Please avoid the she crab soup. It is extremely bitter and is served lukewarm at best. The complementary salad is also disappointing. The seared tuna, however, was pretty good, and the Parmesan crusted chicken was very good.
