A special birthday treat and it did not disappoint. Beautiful setting, very attentive and friendly servers. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We were given boxes to put any uneaten pastries in and a lovely presentation bag to carry them in. I also received a birthday cake complete with candle - such a lovely touch

Beautiful hotel but way overpriced for what you get. Finger Food was great but should have more selections for what you pay. Our waitress lacked enthusiasm and didn’t help make the experience more special or memorable. It was my mother’s 80 bday, brought me a cute cake with candle but was so abrupt that I didn’t have time to pull out my camera. Expected a better experience for $300 plus! Was nice to see the plaza inside though!!

The food was exceptionally subpar. My vegetarian wife was offered a pre fixe meal including salmon. There was nothing I would ask for again. It was extremely forgettable, and I was shocked the food was so bad for such an iconic, established venue. The portion size is a joke. $95 for finger food. We had to go get food after leaving. There was a $50 children’s pre fixe that included “cheese pizza slice” that was the very literal equivalent of a bagel bite. Our service was horrendous. We had 6 ounce water glasses and ran out of water so many times. We had to refill our own glasses with bottled water we carried in. The only positive from the service was being able to get a $24 ice cream sundae that wasn’t supposed to be on the menu, because we wanted to recreate the Home Alone experience for our child. Positive: the atmosphere was nice as well as the old fashioned.

On arrival, the doorman was very abrupt and did not open the door. The decor and ambiance were good. The greeting upon arrival at the Palm Court was fair. We were quickly seated, and the menu explained. The kids' stand was disappointing with 4 small items - apart from the pizza and cake pop, which were mediocre, the rest was not kid friendly. It was completely overpriced. The adult stand was delicious and so was the mocktail. The service was pleasant until the bill. We requested to pay by card, and the waiter disappeared with our card only to reappear and announce that the card was declined. I explained that the card would not allow the transaction to proceed without a pin code. This continued back and forth for a further 15 minutes, accompanied by announcements of the card being declined. The manager was called, and the payment was completed. The end to the evening was abrupt and frustrating after what was a much anticipated and expensive exercise. It is an experience I won't be repeating.

Kazon was our server and he made our experience perfect. His timing on taking care of myself and my guests, along with his suggestions were brilliant. A must visit anytime of the year, but especially special during the holidays. We did dress for the occasion, and I highly recommend doing so. You experience a level of fine dining while being accompanied by fellow guests with the same taste, it’s a lovely way to slow time down in the busy hustle of Manatan❤️

The Plaza Palm Court is beautiful. Holiday decor adds to the magical feeling. I have enjoyed afternoon tea at the Plaza 4 times before this and am sorry to say it is far from what it has been in years past. While the same tiered trays are used to serve the cute little tea sandwiches, the elevated experience doesn’t feel as special or elegant as it did. $155 for a holiday tea was the only option unless we wanted more caviar. The Plaza tea blend was delicious- but no more loose leaf tea- it’s served already brewed. The dainty sugar cubes have been replaced with packets. And the servers no longer take the time to go through the sandwiches and desserts as they are delivered. It’s still beautiful. The food was fine. But I’m now looking forward to visiting other tea places that have a much better value for what you pay.
