   We chose the Melting Pot for my daughter's 18th birthday because in the past, we've had a great experience here. We've brought each of other children for their birthdays. Prior to our reservation, I called and asked if I could add a special dessert to our package and was met with this response from the male on the phone " well yeah, we are a fondue restaurant, how would we not have dessert". That felt very condescending. Part of the fun about coming here is the experience, and the explanation of each course by the server. There was no explanation of the menu, when she returned, she asked what courses we wanted and explain what each course entailed and how they might be different. We waited long stretches to get our waters refilled and my husband ordered a bottle of wine and waited until it was almost gone for the chiller to be brought out. When the server brough the mixtures for the pot (cheese, broth, chocolate) she left and we were left wondering how long we should wait to dip our foods. The food was good, but that's it, just good. Our service felt hurried along and lacked the elegance and level of service that we had experienced in our previous visits to the Melting Pot. Our server was very nice, just not the level of attentiveness that we had experienced in past. When paying for a dinner for 4 for over $400, it seems that it could have been a much better experience. I think it will be a long time, if ever, before we visit again.

   Claryssa, our server, was friendly and helpful as we had many questions about the menu and the many fondue options. There are many cheese and seasoning choices available. The ingredients are of the highest quality and were delicious. We were celebrating my niece’s birthday and this restaurant experience made it a very special occasion for her indeed. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

   We came in for a family fondue night for a special celebration. We got the "Bigger Night Out" menu combination, and it did not disappoint! The beef, chicken, and lobster and other seafood tasted fresh and delicious. We had our favorite Wisconsin Cheddar as a starter and ended with the Yin and Yang chocolate. Our server, Claryssa, was super attentive without being annoying, and she was very personable. We always enjoy our visits, especially when it is happy hour for date night.

   Please be careful at the Tacoma Melting Pot. We ate there yesterday. The server, Claryssa P., added a 20% tip to our bill, did not tell us, and then gladly accepted a $45 cash tip. I can't help but wonder how many people she has done this to. She ended up with a $80.18 tip on a $135.88 ticket. Such a despicable, deceptive practice. As much as I love The Melting Pot, we won't be back.

   It was a LITTLE dark at 430-5pm but other than that it was a perfect experience. I little pricey on the Valentine’s Day menu, something just to be prepared for. Everything tasted delicious our server was amazing and it was very quiet. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

   i’ve been here multiple times and this was the worst my first time going during a holiday and the service was terrible the food was ok and it could have just been so much better definitely recommend going during a regular day not during holidays

   Went for Valentines. The quality of the food and service has gone down hill. Barely saw our server. We had to pay a deposit for the reservation, fine, I understand. Also $125 per person for the dinner with a limited menu, ok fine, I get it. But $100 in taxes and fees and an automatic 20% gratuity is NOT ok. Gratuity should not be automatic unless its for larger parties. I normally tip 20% for good service, in this case I would not have tipped 20%,

   I have been to the Melting Pot multiple times. It is always a great experience, with quality food and great service. It is a perfect location for an experience for a date. I took us here for Valentine's Day since she has never experienced it. I knew in advance that it was a higher price per person and set menu for the event. It was great quality, great service, and a great experience for a special occasion, as always. However, for this review, I took some stars away for things like value. While it was a great experience as always, it definitely isn't justified to charge over $100 per person for the experience. I believe their normal rates per person for the multiple-course experiences are completely fair and reasonable. I love the restaurant, and we will definitely return, but it will always be on a normal day. I would recommend that anyone try this restaurant, and they will not be disappointed. I would just advise, unless it's a very special occasion and do not mind spending twice as much or more for an experience there, to not attend a special time period such as Valentine's Day and wait for a regular time to go.
