The service was very very slow. Took almost 30 minutes for her to check back and take our order. The food is scant. Not anywhere worthy of the cost. Spent close to $100 for two people and we left hungry and disappointed.

We went on New Year’s Eve so keep that in mind, it was probably very busy and hectic for the staff. Reservation for two people slated for 8:15-9:45. Arrived at 8:05. Wasn’t seated until 8:45. Seated in a booth in the back corner of the restaurant next to a service door. Seats were wet. They did not dry them off for us so I sat on my jacket. Drinks took a long time to arrive. First part of meal finally arrived at 9:30. Waiter was pleasant. Food was great. I was unaware that you cook the food yourself until they brought it out. I do think it was a bit costly for such a subpar restaurant experience AND the food didn’t even come out ready to eat. I’m aware that most of this had to do with being very busy but if they aren’t able to handle that volume of customers within the 1hr30min reservation slots, they should limit how many reservations they take on holidays.

Food was good but they were out of a lot of things and had to make substitutions. The service was friendly and helpful but very slow. One bathroom was available and soap was out.

Really great first experience although they forgot the touch of romance add on that I added when getting my reservation. Was disappointed about that, but the food didn’t disappoint.

Always enjoy a good fondue. We were celebrating my daughters birthday. Enjoyed several options including Wisconsin Cheddar and fiesta; cookies and cream, original and flaming turtle.

This restaurant has gone through a remodel and now looks like any other restaurant. It is ordinary and boring. This used to be a unique experience, an intimate setting evoking a feeling of exclusivity (even though it wasn’t exclusive at all), but all that is gone. The warm wood, rich colors and tall booths have given way to bright lights, short booths and a loud environment taking away from the experience.

Lovely dinner! We especially love the new grill option for the meat/veggie course. It was delicious!!! The entire meal was good! Love the classic alpine cheese and the classic chocolate fondue. I’m gluten free and they brought us gluten free options! Service was excellent and attentive- even on Christmas Eve!! Worth every penny!!!!! 🎄

The remodeled interior is not as cozy and intimate as it used to be, and the new chairs are uncomfortable. It feels more like any other restaurant now, which is not a compliment. It was better and more private before. Very disappointing for how expensive it is.
