   We often dine at The Keg in Oro Valley. Tonight it was an exceptional dining experience. We were seated promptly, the service was appropriately attentive , and our order was prepared to perfection. Kudos to all the staff for making this Valentine's day diner memorable in a very good way.    As always, the food in the service was first rate. We really appreciated the glass of wine when we first entered to help us celebrate Valentine’s Day. Thank you again for a lovely evening.

   My wife and I both love going to The Keg. And, typically, we have a great experience. Maybe we just need to learn to not go there on a 'special" night. After about 5 minutes of just sitting there after being seated (and we recognize they were busy), I told our waiter that we knew that we wanted to start with our favorite appetizer when we go there, Mushrooms Neptune. Our waiter told us that they were out of that appetizer (our reservation was at 7:30, so it's mot like it was towars the end of the evening), which was quite disappointing to hear. Strike One. Our waiter took our order -- my wife went with the Salmon and a mixed greens salad, and I order one of the Keg Classic dinners, selecting the prime rib. I opted to go with the Wedge salad, asking for an extra side of blue cheese dressing. Our bus server brought our salads - no additional dressing, but, oh well, not a big deal. A few minutes after that, the dining manager stopped by our table. I assumed that he was going to offer an apology for not having the Mushrooms Neptune (not that I felt one was necessary or expected), but I soon founf out that he was there to inform me that they were out of the side dish that I had ordered: french fries. I asked, increduously, "you'r out of rench fries?!", and I half-jokingly remarked that they have plenty of baked potatoes and to just take one, cut it into slices, and fry them. I ended up going with the twice-baked potatoes, which I didn't like very much. Strike two. When my meal arrived - again by the bus boy/helper and not our waiter - he placed the plate in front of me, announcing my new york strip steak. I told him I ordered the prime rib...he apologized, looked at it, and said ,"Oh yes, this is the prime rib". it was not. A moment later he returned ith my prime rib -- and one of the sorriest looking slices I'd ever been served; cut so poorly - and thin - that a portion was just flat in the plate. I ate it and wrote it off as just a bad night at The Keg.

   Valentine dinner. Place was busy, but they had enough people working to cover the load. Employees very friendly and food was great.

    Another great experience, especially for, Valentines Day! Our food was exceptional, as usual, and our server, Luis, made the evening memorable and special. From the moment one walks in the entrance, to the bar, and eventually dinner, the staff at The Keg, make you feel like family and that you want to come back, again and again! Superb management, friendly staff, and especially Luis, our “go to server” keeps us coming back! Thank you, The Keg Steakhouse, and especially, Luis!
