Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Happy Thanksgiving, I guess. We had a reservation booked for 8:30, and after a nice walk outside we arrived excited for a new experience. While we have been to another location, we hadn’t visited this store yet, and after tonight I can’t say that I would recommend it. We waited just over 30 minutes to be seated when my husband asked the host for an estimation on the wait since we did have a reservation. We were told that their list showed that we had already been seated. I could see them maybe losing track of us if we had wondered off or even sat at the bar, but we stood, waiting, in front of the host stand next to the front door. No one ever called us. After we spoke with the host we were promptly seated and then we waited another almost 20 minutes before we were offered water and drinks by our first server. We didn’t see him again at our table for the rest of the evening. Our second server was wonderful (Noelle). Our order was taken and we were checked on and we waited some more while listening to the table of martini lovers across from us on their annual Vegas Friendsgiving. When our meal arrived, it was plated and presented well and I really enjoyed the Lobster and crab cake. My husband ordered a New York strip cooked medium and it was medium on one end, but quite undercooked on the other. It was quite busy this evening so we just figured we would take half home and cook it through then. We asked to have the rest of the steak boxed and closed out our bill. After waiting quite a bit longer than we should have to receive our boxed leftovers, we come to find out that the take out line lost our food and a new steak had been boxed for us. That was a nice gesture, but why was this experience just a train wreck from start to finish? I’ve never been disappointed at a Capitol Grille until tonight. This was one of the most expensive bad experiences I’ve had in Vegas.

    Super "Dave" the manager is the best. He has a great staff and manages the restaurant with perfection and knowledge. Best in Las Vegas.

    Party of 7 on Thanksgiving, wasn’t thrilled with the location of the table but otherwise The Capital Grill was, as usual excellent. The food and drinks were very good and the service from our server Jeff was excellent.

    Great overall experience Ambiance, music, view, lighting perfect. Server Luis was exceptional, efficient, personable, pleasant and professional. Steaks cooked perfectly!
