   One of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve visited. Located in a beautiful house, the Cake Bake Shop is a fairyland with sparkles, shine and stuffed animals everywhere. Even the potato chips glitter, courtesy of edible glitter, and there’s lots details like freshly sharpened color pencils for kids and a “dragon wish” show. This location isn’t as large as the Carmel location - be warned that there were only 2 restrooms - with a more limited menu, but the same impeccable design and amazing service. Chicken velvet soup and the ham rosemary quiche are perfect cold weather choices. Also love the Petunia punch.

   This was our first visit to the original location! Although I was extremely disappointed they didn’t have the avocado stack the entire experience for my daughters and granddaughters (6) and I was outstanding!! It’s a beautiful quaint little place and much quieter than the Carmel location! Food , cakes and service beyond amazing! Such a great memory for us all ! I have to say I ADORE the takeout bags they send with you !!

   Our service was the very best! We absolutely loved her! Tea was yummy, soups and sandwiches were delicious, and we shared 2 pieces of cake that were also so good!

   We were the last reservation of the night, so no one else was in the restaurant. It was such an enjoyable experience, and our server, Stella, was so kind, as well as everyone else working that night.

   It's fun to enjoy a special dining experience in a beautiful setting - one you can't get anywhere else. (That said, prepare to pay premium prices.) The chai tea latte was my favorite, served delicious and piping hot in a china cup. The chicken velvet soup was a little thinner than I expected; the blackberry avocado spinach salad was an ample portion and crisp and fresh.

   We loved it! Everything we ordered was amazing - chicken velvet soup, pear salade, burrata, three cheese pasta, and the lavender lemonade. We also had a pot of tea that was great! We will be back!

    The decor is always amazing. It’s like being immersed in a winter wonderland. The chicken velvet soup is the best! Our server was prompt. The portions were plenty so we had to take our cake home. I would highly recommend either the millionaire or red velvet cakes!
