We stayed at the Inn to celebrate our anniversary. Room was lovely. The restaurant is in a beautiful historic rustic building with tons of charm. Waitstaff was attentive however never was asked if we wanted to see the sommelier nor were we approached. Given their extensive wine menu that was surprising. Appetizers and dessert were excellent. My Dover Sole was too salty which completely masked the fish. My husband’s scallops were good but slightly overcooked so rubbery. We were prepared for an expensive meal having seen the menu but felt it was overpriced for the experience.

This is a tremendous place. Great food and wine, expertly supported by excellent staff. A bonus was our apres lunch time in the sun taking in the beautiful view and the warm November sunshine. A perfect afternoon!

I know that others probably have a different opinion of the restaurant. We returned after more than 15 years as we were going to be in the area and wanted to revisit a special place from our past. We were seated in a very dark part of the restaurant which was fine but would have been nicer to be seated facing the garden. Wine was delicious and first and second courses were as well. Dessert was really marginal at best - we were told that we had to order with our appetize and entree because it would take 20 minutes to prepare. I ordered a pumpkin roulade which came out cold and hard. Not sure where all the prep time went. And my husband had a chocolate dome with a gelatin outer shell that was completely unnecessary. Also the prices were just over the top and the overall experience was not to that comparable level. It's too bad but we likely won't go back. To us it just seems like prices are unnecessarily inflated because of the area but in reality they aren't delivering on actual value.

The food was overly salty, the desserts ok, the setting nice ( outside) and definitely overpriced for what they were offering.

My wife and I both did the chef’s menu and shared the plates. While very good, the sizes were smaller than most tasting menu portions you’d see at other restaurants. Honestly, that was the only disappointing part of the experience. The staff is great! The wine as well!
