Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint is the continuation of a deep history of music, food, drink and socializing in the South. Located in the former Macy’s building in the heart of downtown Atlanta at the iconic 200 Peachtree St. address, Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint brings to the city a place to relax while enjoying live entertainment and exceptional cuisine. A per person entertainment fee will be applied to your bill, this does not apply on Sunday's. Historically, juke joints originated in the rural outskirts of many southern towns to give African American communities a place to kick back and unwind after a long week of work. Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint represents diverse culture, featuring music across all genres and popular hits throughout American history. An imaginative menu makes Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint a staple in Atlanta’s downtown restaurant scene and the allure of traditional juke joints is showcased in the restaurant’s design.

While restaurant stayed open later for a large event weekend, no one shared with us what the kitchen closing time was. We were unable to complete our meal, because the kitchen had closed. Our server did a good job managing our table. The food was fine.

Service was SLOW. Waited 15 minutes before asking hostess to send servicer to table. Received food 1hr after being seated. Beverages took 30+ minutes to arrive at table. Still charged 18% gratuity and never an apology or explanation from management. They appeared to be understaffed even though the were 1/2 full and turning away walkins at the door.

We spent two hours for food service at the table and eft before dessert arrived due the excessive wait time to get the plated entrees…

Had a party of 12 for a Birthday, Food, entertainment Great. The Server I believe to be bipolar. She did make sure the Birthday Girl was taken care of, she missed a couple things on the order including one entire plate, tried to act like we told her wrong. Drinks took forever and 1 never came, so I know at least one round of drinks didn’t get ordered because of that. Would definitely return.

The service was terrible this visit. So much so, we will not be returning. It took over an hour to get our appetizer. When the entrees came out one was incorrect. It took 20 minutes for me to flag down our server to tell her it was wrong. She always disappeared and she didn't deliver the food to us. It was a drop and run from someone entirely different. She took the i correct item back and 15 minutes later returned to tell me the correct meal would be coming in 5 minutes. 20 minutes later she appeared with it. We ordered an A la mode dessert. That took about 15 minutes and came without the ice cream. Our server disappeared. I had to ask another server to help. Then our bill came and we were charged for the incorrect entree and the correct entree. Asked the other server for help because ours was MIA. She gave it to the manager to fix. We waited and waited and waited for the correct check. Finally the manager came over and said he had fixed it. He didn't realize the server was still MIA! He apologized and fixed the check and took our money. We left finally! Sadly we won't be returning. It's just not the same as in years past.

The food was good. Very crowded and loud place with live music. Took awhile to be seated even with a reservation.

We had a great meal at Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint. The entertainment was very good and our server was very friendly and did a great job. However, the bar was really slow getting drinks out. It seemed like they might have been a bit understaffed. We started with the Southern starter. It was good, but a little small and a little under seasoned. For our mains, I got the fried chicken, which was really good. The collards that come with it were maybe the best part of the meal. They were delicious. My husband got the fried chicken salad. He really enjoyed that as well. We took our time and enjoyed the meal and entertainment for a while. While sitting there, we noticed as the dishes came out for others, there was a lot of Southern Starters and fried chicken coming out. We both noticed that the portions coming out were much larger than we were served. Mind you, we had plenty to eat, but we couldn't help but notice the difference. We both came to the conclusion that we might have eaten yesterday's leftovers.
