   Nice change from cooking. We enjoyed tempura king prawns and focaccia for starters. Portion size was excellent. Followed by hunters chicken and fish and chips. Everything was excellent thank you

   We received a great smile on entry and were quickly shown to our table. Our orders were taken quickly and our drinks arrived promptly. Only criticism here was that the glasses for the cider were half full of ice. They should ask if you want it but this was quickly remedied. We all really enjoyed our food which was hot, nicely presented and very tasty. The staff were always attentive. The atmosphere was great. Our area was quite quiet. The end seats were a bit small for adults on the end of the bench but otherwise, a nice comfy space. The Sugar Beat is bright and cheerful and spacious. The atmosphere was peaceful in our area. The food and service were great. The staff were really helpful and friendly,

    Friendly welcome. Quick service for drinks. The menu does lack fish dishes. A bit too much emphasis on Indian/Asian food including the only fish dish. I enjoyed my steak meal but my wife felt the salad although nice was massive for someone who is ordering salad because they do not want too much to it. My sweet was nice but no biscuit with my wife's coffee. We enjoyed our evening and service was very good. A few slight changes and would be very good.
