A progressive perspective of classic Southern favorites. James Beard Award nominee Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern menu.

SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

My wife and I had dinner with our two boys. We did the “Taste of the South,” and we’re glad we did. It would to have been tough to pick from the menu, but doing the tasting gave us a good idea of a lot of the offerings. It was one of the better meals we’ve had in a long time. Our oldest boy says it’s his new favorite.

Our sever was great but we were so disappointed with the Thanksgiving menu food. This was our first time coming to succotash so we had high expectations but unfortunately almost all of the food fell short. The starter salad was overdressed with oil and was not a very cohesive dish. The cornbread was just ok (as most breads are when you bake them in tins that small). My husband said the deviled eggs were just ok as well, he loved the pickled veg inside but was not wowed. As for the main course, the turkey was juicy so that was good. The stuffing was literally awful, a grit like consistency with no flavor. I’m shocked this dish was apart of the menu/was tasted and approved. The potatoes and Brussels were average but nothing really wowed us. Same can be said for desserts (minus the truffles which were actually just bad versions of cake pops). Overall we’d be willing to try again if we knew the food was going to improve. It seems like other diners felt the same way about the Thanksgiving menu based on what others were saying.

For the third time, we ate Thanksgiving lunch/dinner mid-afternoon at Succotash. The crowds from early had left and the evening folks hadn't come, so it was relatively quiet. There is one menu for Thanksgiving, so we didn't have to make any decisions. Everything was great and we brought some turkey and ham, a deviled egg, and brussel sprouts home with us. The salad vanished quickly, as did the mashed potatoes and green beans. Desserts are so cute, and it is great to have several to sample. /They didn't make it home with us either! Our only addition was mugs of the hot mulled cider (sans Bourbon - no alcohol for us). It is truly worth it!

Very good Thanksgiving menu and well seasoned food. Loved everything served especially the Turkey, ham, dressing, Brussel Sprouts and desserts. Our server was very welcoming, she was top tier and we appreciate management coming by our table, extending holiday greetings and asking how the experience could be improved…talk about feeling valued! We will definitely return to try out the regular menu.

The food and service at Succotash were excellent. The waitstaff went above and beyond to accommodate a guest with special needs. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Also, despite the restaurant being very full and busy, the acoustics were unusually great! You can actually hear conversation and not have to scream over loud music and other people. 5 stars. We will be back!

Service was awful. It took forever for the waitress to come to us after we were seated. She barely came to check on us. The waitress was just awful. Food was good.

It took 35 minutes for appetizers to be served at lunch. That is more than ridiculous give it was a business lunch and we ordered deviled eggs— one of their go to items.

My husband and I enjoyed our meals very much. I never order chicken and waffles, but last night I gave it a try. Despite the heavy breading, the dish was delicious. My husband loved the pork spareribs. He thought the collared greens were very good .I can tell you that the cornbread was outstanding. We will definitely go back again.
