Located in Shadyside, Soba draws guests in with plush comfort and gentle mystery, featuring a cascading water wall, glass staircase, and hand-painted murals. The spacious lounge and multiple dining nooks allow visitors to meet for drinks, share appetizers with friends, or enjoy a modern dining experience.

Soba cooks from the heart and features an array of small plates and entrees intended for sampling and sharing. The cuisine draws inspiration from China, Japan, South Korea and Thailand, though it also incorporates elements from other Southeast and South Asian cultures. Soba offers a seasonal cocktail list with both classic and contemporary offerings.

Wonderful service, our waitress was attentive and helpful. The food was exceptional. Korean prepared snapper was delicious as was the Thai curry chicken. The latter portion was huge. We always love and share the crispy tofu as appetizer.

Soba has been my favorite restaurant for many years. The menu items may change, but it is always the place that I want to come back to! The atmosphere is calming and even when it’s crowded, it’s not over the top loud. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I love to eat food that I don’t have time or the capacity to prepare and that’s exactly what Soba provides.

The food was fantastic as always. Service was good including valet. My biggest draw is the ambiance… I love the darker quiet and more intimate environment of Soba. 10/10 will come back.

Soba is a very aesthetically pleasing space. It wasn’t too loud, the lighting was calming. Our waitress was nice and helpful. The drunken noodles and crispy rice fell a bit short of our high expectations, but the lychee martini and coconut shrimp were by far the best things we had! I would go back just to order those.

Drinks were great, Sichuan dumplings were phenomenal. Entrees (Thai curry chicken and pad Thai) were disappointing. For the price I can’t say they were better than I could’ve gotten for a third the price at smaller restaurants. Lacked flavor, good portions though. Not worth the price
