It is the worst Four Season hotel afternoon tea experience I’ve ever had. Everything is just normal, just acceptable level teas and coffee. Deserts are just ok, only a chocolate one on the bottom plate was pretty good, others nothing is reach four season hotel’s level. I attached pics of Washington DC’s four season hotel and another four season hotel’s afternoon, you will see the difference.

Was pretty mediocre. Service was very inattentive. Never offered refills of tea. Tea did not appear to be loose leaf. Offered lots of champagne refills. Scone was good. Sandwiches were only ok ( except the deviled egg which was excellent). Tea pastries were generally unappetizing. Have had afternoon tea at many places in DC and all were better. Expect more from the Four Seasons. Nothing special about the atmosphere either. Basically tea service in their 3 meal restaurant which wasn’t particularly festive.

Not what we were expecting. Overpriced and nothing special. We had gone in the past before the Covid shutdown and it used to be a favorite. Now, the food is ordinary, the stations are in the hotel lobby, not well stocked, food lukewarm, and limited in choice. Everything about this place screams it needs a refresh. It feels tired and ordinary.

Went for Christmas tea. Will never do that again. Took 45 minutes to get food with a 6 and 3 year old. Bad!

Really disappointing. This is our second year of Teddy Bear Tea and our daughter looks forward to this experience during the holiday season all year. Our scheduled time was 1:45 and we were a few minutes late due to parking, which wasn’t an issue, we called in and were told it was okay- when we arrived, there were multiple parties waiting to be seated. The wait however to be seated was near 20-30 minutes. There was no candy bar for the kids to make their own candy bags like last year and no special gifts that were advertised (teddy bears) were given to any children that I saw during our session. There were lots tables of adults, so I imagine they combined regular afternoon tea with Teddy bear tea, so there simply wasn’t enough staff to clear tables and serve guests, which is probably why they were so behind, even the hosts were helping to clean and set tables. The only highlight was that the funds go towards supporting the Children’s National Hospital, which is still a win.

Fantastic experience for the kiddos! The only item that could potentially improve is the balance of savory to sweet - there was one tier of savory and two tiers of sweet + scones. We were all on a sugar high after. But otherwise 10/10!

Of course you pay a lot for a simple breakfast, but valet parking is helpful and service is terrific.
