   Great bartender Gettye was a creative cocktail master and good to talk to I wish they would have advised portion sizes I found them very large and I hate to waste food

   Prime rib and sides were not quite as great as last year. (We liked the potato double baked.) the steak I ordered medium rare was more like rare. Ceviche was awesome! $7 for bread and butter seems pricey, but it was tasty. Pork belly app was great, and so were the butterscotch and cheesecake desserts.

   Hello, We made reservations at Sam's Social club for lunch today in Calistoga for my wife's birthday. We have lived here in the Napa Valley going on 40 years and have really been treated to awesome dining experiences over the years. I must say, this was quite a poor experience. The Hostess greated us warmly and made a note of my wife's Birthday. Seating us quickly and water poured as usual. Our server seemed aloof and distracted with poor communication skills, after a long wait. A manager came to the table to bring my beer and 'check in' and ended up taking our order. We needed to flag the server a number of times with little interaction. There were few customers in the dining room. The food was good, not outstanding. The ambiance was great and harkens back to the old school resorts. Finally, the server did bring our bill, but was walking around with my card and seemed confused. I finally just asked for my card back and paid in cash with a poor tip to reflect the aloof, poor server skills. There was not the 'usual' 'Birthday' restaurant recognition for my wife. We walked out fairly sure we won't be back, sadly because we really anticipated a memorable experience. I hope this was a one off.

   Nice ambiance on the covered patio, yummy food. Coffee was just ok, service was lacking. My toast was cold before butter was brought to the table for example. Very avoidable. Should not have to ask for a spoon to stir coffee. Never brought over the heater we asked for in spite of them offering it upon arrival. I would still go back.

   We were seated outside in the sun. It was very hot & we were told they wouldn’t be able to move an umbrella to accommodate us. Our server was very busy and was not very attentive. We enjoyed the food, and if we return, will make sure to sit inside.
