   Apollo was our waiter and did an amazing job!! Fish was amazing as was my friend’s Ahi tuna! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

   Noise level was a bit high and hard to carry a conversation at our own table. I love the restaurant and the ambiance….and think the concrete floors and brick walls contribute to the noise level. Would be great if they could incorporate noise absorption details to their decor to help. Other than that, we had a fabulous first experience! Food was great!

   This was our second time coming to SALT and it was as fantastic as the first time. We came for our anniversary and they had Custom made menus that said Happy anniversary and the date as a keepsake. So thoughtful and sweet. We had a Paloma and old fashion which was great. The crab cakes are so good and we come from Maryland so that is saying something. My husband got the fried chicken which comes with jalepeno mashed potatoes which was super yummy. I got the ribs which come with brussel sprouts and it was great. We’re definitely going to come back next year for our anniversary.

   David was excellent as was the manager. Wife’s birthday and it went well. I was home from Panama with the US Army and not back until July next year. Home for her bday so great.

   The entire staff did an amazing job from the moment we were greeted by Angie to our service from Apollo and a couple of others that I didn’t get to catch a name. Food was exquisite. The braised rabbit and fried pork shank with pan de campo did not disappoint! The smokiness of the Mac n cheese and the delicious taste of the Brussel sprouts were a great pairing! Even the spinach salad was amazing! And the sriracha shrimp were chefs kiss. This was the best Birthday dining experience for my daughter. We will definitely be back again to try more.

    The service here is always off the chart amazing! We shared the large pear salad and it was so good! I had the U10 Scallops and they were a 10...I told the sous chef they were the best scallops I'd ever had...they serve with roasted cauliflower now vs risotto which I didn't care for as much as their risotto is an amazing side that compliments any dish but especially the scallops! We finished off with the world class Pan de Campo...we always get it more for dessert than as a side with the meal. The jalapeno honey is phenomenal! Atmosphere always awesome! This is our Go To spot every time we visit McAllen!
