Beginning in 2006, we have been serving the finest quality food to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Our goal, from day one has been to make damn good food, with honest ingredients while being kind to those we meet along the way.
We offer Terrace seating. Our Terrace is protected from inclement weather and heated for year round dining. It is NOT air conditioned. We do have ceiling fans and cooling fans for the warmer days.
We are proud to present our guests with a dinner menu free of hydrogenated oils, and high fructose corn syrup, yet full of flavor that only the freshest ingredients from local sources can provide.
At Terrapin restaurant, we are very passionate about supporting sustainable organic farmers and local watermen, as well as preserving the integrity of our menu and products.

This is our second time at Terrapin. It was as good or better the second time. We went during happy hour and what a deal! Two drinks, two apps, and two 1/2 portion homemade pastas for 64$! The best happy hour in town. Hands down.

We went for the first time tonight and it will not be our last. My husband had his birthday yesterday and we went for his annual special Italian dinner for him! He and my son both had chicken Parmesan and the chicken was so very tender!! I had the pomadora and the seafood was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be going back!

AAA Four Diamond restaurant located at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, Zoës originally opened in 2003, and re-opened under new ownership on March 16, 2009. Renowned sommelier Marc Sauter, as well as devoted restaurant goers Bill and Joni Greene, to continue the Zoës legacy with the same great location, friendly staff, soothing ambience, and award-winning food and spirits.

Together, their hope is to offer their guests a wonderful dining experience that has a comfortable, familiar atmosphere, yet that special touch of class that makes Zoës “the place to go when you absolutely must impress your guests.”

Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are always welcome.

Zoës is a completely non-smoking establishment.

Varia's modern Italian fare is made from only the best local ingredients and the wine studio features over 100 hand-selected wines, including 50 by the glass.
The dining room's intricate finishes and the warm glow of its reclaimed chandelier, formally of the Historic Cavalier's ballroom, offers an intimate ambiance that invites conversation over a full bodied merlot. Beautiful atmosphere hands down! Services was great and the vibe was amazing. The food..Brussel sprouts were delicious. Fritto misto was so so as the breading wasn’t crisp and I only had 2-3 shrimp. Very disappointing. Ravioli was so so. After sitting for a few moments it was tough to cut. Ordered gelato for dessert and it was okay. I’ve def had better. I’d definitely recommend for the ambiance, drinks and lite bite. Didn’t order an entree but I will def get pizza next time. The wood burning stove was fired up all night. Special added touch was the piano music. The pianist played some beautiful songs. Would def go again and explore the menu more!

My wife and I enjoy experiencing new restaurants and we have experienced many great restaurants, but then we met Charlie at River Stone Chophouse. It was our first time and we were initially impressed with everything from the building itself, the interior, the lighting, the music, the warm, friendly greeting at the door by the girl who was up front...but Charlie really sealed the deal. Charlie had such a smooth approach and introduction as he introduced us to many different options and the steak board. We felt welcome and comfortable, as if Charlie was an old family member. If all the other staff is on par with Charlie, we will definitely look forward to dining here again. I can honestly say that I have never had such a pleasant experience in any restaurant I have dined at. Thank you.

GL was an awesome experience. From the time walked in my and wife and knew it was going to be a vibe. The ambience, the service, servers and the food - OMG. Had the opportunity to talk the chefs as they checked on us. GL chefs and crew thank you for great evening. Definitely recommend and will make my way back there soon.
