I had the wagyu beef with carrots and broccolini as sides and my husband had the rib eye. Outstanding food and service - pricey but worth it! You have to have the cheesecake it’s what I’d think eating a cloud is like - loved it!!!

The Charcoal Steak House is an independent local steakhouse serving the Waterloo region community for over 65 years. Enjoy AAA Steaks, richly marbled wagyu, slow roasted prime rib, fresh seafood, mouth-watering pig tails, legendary smoked ribs and more. At lunch we feature an extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, bowls and healthy salad choices.

Sundays are made for Brunch from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Our Martinis Bar with summer patio offers the full Steak House menu or light meals in a more casual setting. Enjoy appetizers, a full meal, 20 beers on tap and beautiful outdoor seating area in summer.

Food and service did not disappoint. Servers were able to accommodate dietary restrictions and navigate the menu to best advise on food choices. Beef wellingtons are a favourite and I order in repeat and each time I am delighted.

My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at CHOP! It was our first time and we will definitely be back. The staff treated us with over the top care and our server, Milo, made sure we had meals that we LOVED. Food was absolutely delicious! The ambience was perfect for a cozy date night together.

Mercedes was our server. She was very attentive and listened to our wishes. My dinner partner has a bad allergy to onions. Mercedes checked to make sure every was onion free for my friend. Our food was delicious and met all our hopes and expectations. We were visiting over dinner and then over coffees. We weren’t rushed or made to feel that we had to leave. It was a very nice Christmas dinner.

My friend and I have gone to Golf Steak House as a treat close to Christmas for many years. Not once in all the years have we ever been disappointed with the food or service. Tonight was no exception. Highly recommend!!
