We returned to Prairie Star after a long hiatus, and found it just as wonderful as it had been in the past. Superb food, cheerful and attentive service and a quiet, comfortable ambience made the experience all we had hoped for and more. Bravo, Prairie Star!

Highly underrated. Every time I’ve been here, the food and service have been exceptional. My steak today was absolutely the perfect medium rare. Everything was piping hot and fresh, with the exception of the desserts, and our server was friendly and super attentive. Glasses were never empty. Booths and tables are quiet and some very secluded, so dining is a pleasure here. You can go several other places in ABQ for a great steak, but you’ll pay twice as much and be in a crowded noisy room, so why? Just go here, you won’t be disappointed.

The meal was delicious, the service was exemplary. Our server Tana was amazing. The ONLY downside to the experience was that the owner charges a 3% “Kitchen Fee”, this is a completely unnecessary fee if the owner is paying their staff. This is not a $$ restaurant this is a $$$-$$$$ restaurant and if you can’t pay a sufficient wage there is no excuse.
