Definitely a fine experience! The food, service, the atmosphere were all you’d expect from a world class restaurant. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. Wish we could dine here on a regular basis!

Havana has been committed to serving local and organic meats, produce and seafood since it opened 25 years ago. All of our meats are “naturally raised” meaning no steroids, antibiotics or hormones and “humanely raised” meaning room to roam, proper shelter and gentle handling. We make every effort to buy only sustainably harvested seafood, primarily from the Gulf of Maine. We have consistently searched out New England farmers and fisherfolk to purchase product that is not only great tasting but great for the environment and local economy as well.

The Barncastle Hotel and Restaurant serves Alsatian-inspired cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients. Chef Owen Royce-Nagel and his wife, both Sommelier- and Cicerone-certified, Lizzie Szczepaniak, have been crafting their concept and menu over the last two decades all across the world. Dishes are intended to be shared and bread (from Tinder Hearth!) is meant to be broken in their cozy dining room and pub. A true star on the Maine coast. Star level service - a menu with wonderfully atypical & eclectic offerings you don't see at other modern cuisine restaurants. This is not your typical fancy resort restaurant - but instead a passion of its owners, Owen & Lizzie. If you're in the Blue Hill area, don't miss it.

Sweet place, cozy on a winter evening. Made a reservation and happy that a preference for a hearing impaired guest was honored. Our first visit-food good and we will return. Found waitstaff a little intrusive consistently interrupting our conversation and offering “recommendations” that were not requested. For example, “the lamb will take 30 minutes, so we recommend an appetizer.” Waiter was attentive, all orders accurate and even did something to turn down heat when we said we were uncomfortable with it blasting on us. So mostly very good!!

The Reading Room is classic white linen high class dining at its best!! Menu, food, service & ambience all first rate! Our server was very professional (can’t recall her name) & very menu knowledgeable - only issue was that the noise level made it difficult to have a good conversation! We’ve been there many times over the years & it is always the highlight of our visits to Bar Harbor!!

We stop taking day of reservations after 4pm. Please call the restaurant after 4pm.

We do not accept parties of 4 people or more. We are a small restaurant with only 22 seats and cannot accommodate larger parties.

Established in April of 2015, The Taverna serves authentic Greek fare while remaining true to our Greek roots. Our menu highlights what is available to us locally and seasonally. Our wine list is one of the largest all Greek wine lists in the United States which features natural, orange and organic wines. We offer a unique dining experience that can only be found in a few select locations in the country. We welcome you to our little Taverna in Brunswick!

Delicious! Lamb was tender and not strong. Sea bass was spot on. Wine and desserts were wonderful. Can't wait to return!

We’re only a stone’s throw away from picturesque Buck’s Harbor and just across the road from historic Condon’s Garage, made famous by Robert McCloskey’s beloved children’s book “One Morning in Maine.” We’re also directly adjacent to the Buck’s Harbor Market—under common ownership—which has been the center of community life for over 75 years.

At Buck's Restaurant, our goal is to combine fine dining with friendly, observant service in a casual setting.
