Kiln is a small restaurant in the heart of the Ouseburn. We make everything ourselves and push to be better than the day before.

We serve brunch every morning from 10am to 4:30pm.

Our Mediterranean & Middle Eastern inspired tapas style menu is served from 5pm to 10pm.

Our great coffee, homemade cakes and cocktails are served all day - and we’re dog friendly!

Everything we offer is homemade and we source as much of the produce as we can as locally as possible. A home from home where hospitality comes first. Café 21 is a sociable and effortlessly stylish space, serving crafted comforts, lunch bites and sweet treats. Booking is not required however we do take reservations from 2:00 onwards for Afternoon Tea.

Lovely option for eating. Service excellent. Food always tasty and well presented. Varied menu options. A bit more expensive than your standard cafe but food rarely disappoints and it’s a relaxing place in which to spend quality time with family or friends.

We both chose from the Christmas menu which is really good value for 2 or 3 courses. The food was delicious and well presented. I found the quantity of the pork terrine starter and the cheese for dessert rather on the large side. Great staff, quiet ambience and lovely food - what's not to like?
