We had Christmas lunch here, so it was pretty quiet and the staff weren’t so busy. With that in mind, service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The food was excellent: pot stickers for starters, then mutton stir fry, beef fried rice and Singapore noodles. Mutton is unusual in Chicagoland but it was surprisingly good. PL8 is now in our top 2 Chinese restaurants in the NW burns.

We like to say that we are International Vegan Restaurant. That means our food is 100% plant based and Globally Inspired. We have a few American classics like homemade veggie burgers, mac and cheese and of course Nachos. However, we also have plenty of healthy options. Our Kitchen Manager specializes in creating comfort dishes from different cultures by making food that is hearty and flavorful, but still healthy. Many food items will have a focus on plants, rather than trying to mimic meat. Reading our menu is like traveling the globe with the different options we will have. Have a taste of Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Italy, Balkans and so much more! Brunch Menu is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We were nominited for the best brunch in the country by VegOut Magazine and our soup was nominated as Best Soup of Chicago. We won Best Patio 2020 by North Commision. Can't wait to welcome you.

With this desire, we decided to open Bloom Plant Based kitchen. Not only is eating a more plant-based diet healthier and more forgiving to one’s body, but it is significantly better for the environment. However, with healthy plant-based options not being the popular choice, we know we have stiff competition. Our server, Lilly wanted us to have a very good experience. The chef did a phenomenal job of making each dish delicious. It felt like each dish was specially made to order. Unfortunately the hostess had no recommendations for parking. This ended up being a very frustrating situation. I highly recommend you walk or take Uber.

Chef Mitch is top notch. We loved spending time talking to him throughout our time at the counter. The otoro was to die for! We also enjoyed the spicy garlic edamame, Ferris wheel roll, and the tako roll. Chef also gave us a beautiful sashimi that was just melt in your mouth perfect. I can’t stress how you must make the reservation and go visit Sushi Hall.
