Known as chef to the winemakers, Chef Russell Lowell is a hands on chef. Cutting all our proteins in house during the day and working the grill at night. He creates a menu that considers seasonality and wine pairings. We are a local favorite in the Bothell area. Located in a historic hay barn, we are the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or a date night away from the kids.

    Arrived 20 min early for our reservation and was referred to the bar to wait. Ordered a Mojito and a vodka rocks. The Mojito lacked mint and simple syrup and frankly was overdosed with lime juice. We moved on to dinner at our reservation time. I attempted to order an Andrew Wells Sorella only to find that they were out of stock. Also attempted to order the lamb only to find that it too, was sold out. As an alternative ordered the cassoulet which turned out to be nothing more than a white bean soup with lamb sausage, and duck. While we’ve had many great experiences at Russell’s certainly this dinner was far from meeting expectations.

    It is so rare to have a neighborhood restaurant that is such a reliably wonderful experience The ambience is very good - quieter than most these days, the food is always excellent and the staff wonderful. One of the hidden jewels at Russell's is Dan - we always request to be seated in Dan's section - Dan is an amazing waiter who improves your entire experience. We love Dan and Russell's.

    This was my second time at Russell’s and plan a third trip soon as food and service is consistently excellent! An outstanding restaurant is such an asset to the Bothell area.     I can’t find a single thing to talk about that isn’t top notch about Russell’s. This is our “go-to” place for special occasions, this time my wife’s birthday with our son, his wife, and two munchkins aged 9 and 11. Food was superb, with our entrees including a big ribeye, a filet mignon, duck rivals, and chicken. For the young ones, they made a simple Alfredo over noodles. Everything was as good as it can be. The food was great, drinks were well crafted, and service was friendly, attentive, and professional. They didn’t hover, but were always there. Russell’s will continue to be our first choice for special occasions.

    My husband and I wanted to treat my daughter and her boyfriend to a nice dinner; as always, it was wonderful! The ambience, service and food was exceptional.

    Let me start by saying I love this restaurant. We opted to spend our Christmas Eve there and it was less than ideal. I understand that there are folks working on an evening that they would rather be home with family and friends so I am going to cut them some slack. Food was good as always but service was not up to par. Drinks came late and not as requested. Service was slow and not as precise as usual. That being said I will still come back as we have many good memories of several family events.
