The Roaring Fork offers bold American wood-fire cooking with fine dining atmosphere. We serve dinner nightly starting at 5pm and Happy Hour daily from 4pm - 6pm in our bar and lounge area only. Sorry, no reservations for Happy Hour. Our bar and lounge is always open seating. Reservations are always recommended for dinner. Thank you for your interest and we hope to serve you soon.

    We were shown to our table right away as we arrived, and our server was Gabriel. He was accommodating, and very professional/courteous. There were 9 in our party and he had a bit of a challenge getting our drink orders. I ordered a Texas Tea and was informed that the bartender didn't know how to make one. Appetizers were great and the sides were delicious. However, some of our steaks were cold by the time they arrived. We were short on time so we didn't complain about it. We've had duplicated drinks showed up, and some drinks took a while before arriving. Gabriel would have benefitted with another server helping in bringing out the food and drinks promptly. For a $950 lunch tab, we truly expected more.

    The hostess was extremely rude. I requested two changes in table locations: the first was a half-booth and the second was a large booth that could seat 6, possibly 8. The first request was made to avoid awkwardness in the event there had been a neighboring table (less than 1-2 inches to move between tables). The second request was made to allow for a larger party (6-8 could have fit in this booth). I pointed to a regular booth for 4 and asked if we could sit there and she informed me that it would cause an issue with server rotation. We returned to her previous two choices, and I requested a regular booth for 4 - again. Her response was “Fine.” She turned her back as I followed her. I warmly thanked her, and she ignored me. I apologized, and again, no response. I thanked her again, and all she said was, “if your party checks in, I’ll show them to your table,” turned her back, and walked off. Our server, Kat, was divine!

    Great Cowboy Ribeye, good size and sear. Iceberg BLT was fresh and crisp and all good value. The servers were faultless

    The hostess was an idiot A steak ordered “medium-well” was served medium rare. When it was sent back for more cook time, it tasted like crap. A salmon dish was ordered without an advertised butter topping due to a food allergy. While the dish was properly served without the butter, the dish had no alternate seasoning on it. There was zero salt and little seasoning because, presumably, the held butter topping contained all the salt and seasoning. Very sloppy. There is zero chance that I’ll return to any Roaring Fork, let alone the downtown Austin location

    Each time of the many I have been to Roaring Fork it has been enjoyable. The food never disappoints and the service is solid. Looking forward to returning many times.

    Great restaurant next door to Paramount Theater. Good bar and food selections. Best burger-truly! Excellent service. Tom was terrific. Great location.

    This restaurant was great. They had valet parking at the Steven and Austin hotel for three hours for $10 which is great for downtown. The food was absolutely fabulous the service impeccable. We were going to the theater next-door and we got us out right on time overall and wonderful experience.
