Black Bird Bar & Grill, on the riverside of Brisbane's CBD, is renowned for crafting modern Australian cuisine with a dose of global inspiration, served in its relaxing and charming restaurant. The spanner crab on toasted brioche bread with avocado, lime and saffron and the Japanese-style seafood pancake with teriyaki, pickled daikon and lotus root crisps make superb starters. Some of Black Bird Bar & Grill's specialties include the free-range pork roast with caramelized onion and chickpea puree, the herb crusted saddle of lamb with spicy eggplant relish and yogurt and the coal-roasted market fish of the day with seaweed butter and lemon. Vegetarian dishes, like the pan-fried potato gnocchi with fresh cheese curd and the griddled sweetcorn cake with green tomato relish and salted ricotta, are seasoned to perfection. Black Bird Bar & Grill's white and black forest mousse cake with cherry ice cream makes the perfect dessert.

Beautiful meal and ambience ruined by rushed service to get us out so another sitting could come in. Would have ordered deserts and coffee but no time. Suggested to go to the bar but they don’t serve deserts or coffee. So what could have been great was reduced to alright. Wouldn’t rush back

In dit restaurant staat de eigen efficiency bovenaan de lijst met prioriteiten en de klantervaring en klanttevredenheid onderaan. Na reservering via OpenTable werd ons bij aankomst gemeld dat er alleen voor beperkte tijd een tafel was. Op zich vreemd als je ruim van te voren hebt gereserveerd, maar je gaat dan ook niet nog eens op zoek naar een ander restaurant. De klap op de vuurpijl kwam echter na het hoofdgerecht, toen de ober ons doodleuk meedeelde dat hij ons niet de dessertkaart zou geven omdat daar geen tijd meer voor zou zijn. Nu wilden we toch geen dessert, maar we waren wel met stomheid geslagen door een dergelijke onbeschofte mededeling en botheid. Toen we weggingen was het tafeltje naast ons, dat de hele tijd onbezet was geweest nog steeds vrij ...... Over efficiency en customer satisfaction gesproken.

The food is exceptional. Recommend the tuna and the pasta as entree. The steaks were cooked just right and extremely tender. The lamb was also amazing.

Really enjoyed our afternoon at Blackbird. After drinks in the bar overlooking the river, we dined on the most delicious steaks accompanied by a truffled mashed potato that was to die for. My celeriac entree was also tasty and well executed. Our waiter was extremely helpful and efficient and not intrusive. Blackbird is quite expensive but I certainly felt the dining experience was worth it. Good for a special occasion.

Lovely like always. Only fault is that we weren't given a wine menu when seated or asked whether or not we wanted to order drinks. Wasn't a problem tho. Still my favourite restaurant in Brisbane!

The staff were very attentive and after asking what the occasion was (anniversary dinner), they beautifully decorated our dessert. Each of the three courses were outstanding and our drinks at the bar beforehand were amazing.
