Our inspiration comes from the story of Chinese settlers who arrived in Thailand centuries ago by junk boats. They brought unique recipes passed on from generation to generation and are now brought to life at our restaurant.

At Mangkon Rd, we pay homage to this rich history by infusing it into every aspect of our restaurant, from our gold-themed decor symbolising wealth and good fortune to the dragon motif representing the strong Chinese influence in our food.

Not much atmosphere, For us the dIm sims were really nice but Satay Chicken, Fried rice and Vermicelli were pretty average. Was reasonable priced and service was fine.

Good food and location, but some portions were way too small, service not the best (asked multi times for a drink, waitress gave us 4 glasses of same wine instead of the bottle we asked for)

Having lived in Bangkok for seven years, this place brings back all those wonderful memories. We had the fish with mango salad which was delicious, the duck was so good we wish we had ordered two servings and there was plenty of choices for our vegetarian friend. With a stop right at the Chinatown LRT, it’s too easy to drop in for a bite to eat at a reasonable (by Sydney standards) price.

This was my 2nd time for dinner with friends over from overseas. Every dish we had was not only generous in size but full of flavour. The highlights would be the grilled squid, tender with just the right hint of spice and the rice noodles having plenty of that smokey char flavour in the seafood radna. Both friends also loved the coconut slush - full coconut flavour and milk tea - aromatic with just the right hint of sweetness. Service was very good and unintrusive. Will definitely come again to try the other dishes.

Duck devine, pork delicious. Drinks order twice was slow and both times needed reminding. But service was with a warm smile and upstairs I recommend. Our Date Night was a success.

New Thai-Chinese Restaurant with very nice food and very reasonably priced. You can pre book online- we requested a table upstairs which was lovely. The service is very quick and super efficient & friendly. Great menu - all the items we selected were delicious. The grilled squid and the roasted duck were the highlights. Wine list is very reasonably priced too. I definitely preferred the upstairs seating. Highly recommended!
