We have eaten at Soda Fish on a few occasions in the past year and found it to be pretty good. However, this visit was disappointing mainly due to the service. No complaints about the food. We chose a set menu with wine pairing. The wine for our first course took about 30 minutes to arrive but the food came about 30 minutes after the wine. Not ideal for pairing. When the first course arrived, it was hurriedly shoved onto the table and the waitress disappeared without any communication with us, ignoring our empty glasses and missing the opportunity to sell us another drink and to explain what we had just been served. The next two courses were a repeat of the first. After the main course we waited for nearly 45 minutes to order dessert, but unfortunately no-one came to take our order or clear the table, so we walked up to the bar paid our bill and left. When paying I had a whinge and was probably a bit rude, but at the time I was pretty disappointed with the experience. A few other tables near us had the similar problems.

Our hostess was amazing, attentive, and very service oriented with the kitchen short staffed due to illness. Gave comp glass of wine!

Very expensive for very small meals. Some wine bottles 300 % markup. Don’t mind spending the money but value for money almost non existent.

After review of website visioned we would be able to order Lobster, prawns etc. should have reviewed menu that was available as no lobster, minimal prawns. Prawn roll very nice but bite size for $17.00. Scallops $7.00 each were not exceptional. Risotto marinara had very limited seafood. Service from staff was very good. View from table looked into an untidy shed with door opened took away the look of the estuary. I am not one to write negative reviews but very disappointed

Great ambiance.. lovely staff - especially Mary who served us both times. We went there twice.. best restaurent in Lakes Entrance. A must try ser Menu. Delicious! !

Four ladies dining. Manager overheard our discussion on fish and choices. Came over and helped us with everything including wine. He went above and beyond to get what we wanted (a couple of friends very picky). Excellent evening. Great Food and Service. Thank you.

Food didn’t have the “wow” factor for me this time. Fishfingers - really. The octopus was great. Thought some flowers might have added to valentine day theme though my partner thought it was fine.
