Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

Chef / Owner Mathis Stitt’s open kitchen allows everyone to see exactly how he turns fresh, locally sourced provisions into enticing and delicious offerings. For 8 years, Ian Froebe of the Post Dispatch has published a list of the Top 100 Restaurants in St. Louis - Chef Mathis’ Veritas has been on all of them.

Since 1937, once nestled in the middle of cornfields stands the Smokehouse Market. An unpretentious structure, reminiscent of its days as the market for the surrounding Chesterfield area. The store now houses one of St. Louis's most celebrated restaurants, Annie Gunn's. Within its walls, Chef Lou Rook, III works his magic, creating irresistible cuisine with a sophisticated country life accent. In keeping with the concept of "Foods and wines inspired by the richness of country life", Chef Rook uses the best ingredients and the traditions that are most appropriate to them and imbues them with his own talented creative spin within the rhythm of the seasons. Family owned and operated since 1993, Citizen Kane's Steakhouse is a cut above the rest. Located in a turn-of-the-century Victorian home, the restaurant is dedicated to impeccable service and exceptional cuisine, creating a casual yet upscale atmosphere to that effect. Citizen Kane's has a mouthwatering selection of steaks. Enjoy tenderloin medallions, the Delmonico ribeye or a classic New York strip. Twisted Tree Steakhouse

Our first dining experience at Spiro’s. Such a delightful experience. The dining staff were very attentive from start to finish. We enjoyed an appetizer, main course, and a wonderful in-house made dessert. There were intermittent culinary displays with some dishes prepared at table, even a flambé on occasion. We must return soon.

Wonderful food you just don’t get anywhere else. Great service you also don’t get at many restaurants anymore. Worth every penny and a great date experience. The restaurant has been here for many years so my only regret is not having made the drive to try it earlier!

My boyfriend and I came here for Valentine’s Day dinner. We had a reservation at 6:30 but didn’t get sat until about 7:00. I was okay with that though because they had ample waiting seating and I could tell it was very busy. We ordered the calamari appetizer to start. The flavor was great, but the sauce made the breading soggy and the breading was falling off. We both agreed that we would have preferred the sauce on the side to dip in so that the breading would stay crispy. I got the petite filet and the baked potato, both were delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was great. The baked potato was sizable. I also had the Wild berry Lemonade cocktail and it was GREAT! One of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Overall it was a great experience!

Our anniversary is on Valentine’s Day, celebrating 55 years today. Going out to eat on Valentine’s Day can be tricky because lots of other couples have the same idea. So we opted for a 1pm lunch and it worked out great! Warm and Cozy, great ambiance, good noise level, excellent service and the usual great food! Bristol’s is our go to restaurant.
