- LLeonardoHouston •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoThe food was fantastic—really fresh and an overall great experience. However, I wish they hadn’t begun cleaning and closing the restaurant two hours before closing time. It made us feel rushed during our meal, especially when they started sweeping under our tables. Despite this minor inconvenience, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be returning.More infoKatie's Seafood HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Galveston•4.8
- PPeggyVIPHouston •24 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoLovely dinner! The bean soup is a great starter-the cup is large so stick with that size. M The caprese salad is classic and delicious. The mushroom ravioli cream sauce was luxurious and the osso bucco was incredible. The only dish we didn’t love but still liked was the fish and shrimp ravioli in the tomato sauce. We finished our amazing meal with the pannacotta which was light with a hint of citrus. Great service and atmosphere!More infoTrattoria la VignaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Galveston•4.8

Discover Galveston
This popular Gulf Coast town of Galveston is a solid choice for great seafood. This island city features innovative offerings such as entrees of sautéed shrimp and Andouille sausage prepared with cheesy grits and topped with an in-house Creole sauce alongside freshly cut asparagus. Elsewhere on the island, enjoy a regional favorite, cornmeal-fried catfish. The fish is dredged in a home-made fine cornmeal and lightly fried. It is then served with sides of truffle fries, au gratin potatoes or creamed spinach. Gumbo is another local favorite. Order a spicy bowl of shrimp, chicken or sausage, simmering in a crab broth and topped with a ball of steamed white rice. With Mexican, Italian, pub cuisine and casual dining all present, Galveston has something for every appetite.
