How do you spell amazing, “Red Salt”! Our Valentines dinner for two started with Noah our sever opening the delicious bottle of Merry Edwards Sauvignon blanc and pouring a taste in each glass. We savored the wine while waiting for the first course oysters to arrive. The two different preparations launched us into the evenings flavor experience! Noah kept the wine trickling in while waiting for the baked lobster dynamite sushi to land. It was a flavor explosion in the mouth and I could have stopped there. Again Noah kept the wine flowing and was attentive but allowed us to have a very relaxing evening. Next arrival was the perfectly seasoned and broiled fillet with Boursin mashed potatoes. We are getting full but have just enough room to share the chocolate volcano cake topped with vanilla ice cream. Now we’re all in! It was an amazing dining experience, everything was done to perfection and Noah’s timing of the courses allowed us to have a most relaxing evening. It was simply exquisite!

We visit Red Salt each time we come to Kauai. Our experience last night was amazing as usual. The cocktails (table side martinis!) were delicious and our dinner was great., the mahi mahi was a great choice as was the ahi. Also, the service is impeccable. We were too full for dessert but it too looked terrific

The Osso Bucco style short ribs were phenomenal. Service was excellent. We’ll be coming back.

Such a beautiful restaurant. Martini's shaken at your table. The ricotta appetizer is not to be missed. Unbelievably good. Such flavors. The lobster gnocchi was meh. Lobster was way overcooked and chewy. Staff was wonderful. I'd go back and order a different entree.

Good service, mediocre salad and entrees in comparison to other local restaurants.

Waitress was awesome. Food was nothing special, especially for the price. I had the mahi mahi, which wasn’t as flavorful as I have had other places. It’s a quiet and relaxing restaurant, but the food isn’t that great.

It was great! A little on the spendy side, but it is a very nice restaurant. Nice drink/wine selection. Food seemed pretty island-centric at the concept level and was very elevated in taste/quality. The server we had was tremendous. We are vacationing, wouldn't go with our family another night this vacation just for cost/amount of food (and we are staying up north on the island, so was quite a drive). But, would we go again when we come back to Kaua'i? Absolutely!

Totally disappointed after hearing multiple recommendations. Waited 15 min for a server to show up at our table. He never asked if we wanted drinks, and had zero interest in us. I had the $65 Ahi which was fresh and perfectly seared but super bland presentation. Got so noisy by about 7pm we could barely carry on a conversation. So many better and less pretentious choices we won't be back.

Food & service were excellent. We opted for the Chefs Dinner with wine pairings that was a fair value, but still expensive. It was an anniversary celebration for us so it was our most expensive dinner on the island. Christian our server made it a first class experience with perfect pairings and timing between courses. He made the evening incredibly memorable

We went to red salt for breakfast on our last day on Kauai specifically for the l mon pineapple soufflé pancakes ! We ordered a side of bacon with them. It was soooo good! Jagger was our server, and went above and beyond our expectations! We were impressed because we had had dinner there two nights before, and were disappointed with both the service and the food. Bravo Jagger! Wonderful experience!
