Rat’s Restaurant is the perfect dining destination. Named for the fabled entertaining character in Kenneth Graham’s children’s classic, The Wind in the Willows, Rat’s Restaurant is designed to give visitors the sense they have stepped into a village reminiscent of the impressionist painter Claude Monet’s beloved town of Giverny. Rustic fireplaces, country French cuisine, seasonal hand-crafted cocktails and an eclectic beer and wine list are just the beginning. Disappointed with portion size, presentation and menu options. I was told the frittata was premade so they couldn’t withhold one of the ingredients… The Belgium waffle looked like it could’ve been served at waffle House, alone on a plate with three metal cups containing butter, whipped cream, and jam. every time the waiter filled our water glasses. The pitcher leaked down the side, so there was water all over the table. Not what we were expecting for the cost.

We made reservations at Rats for Christmas Eve over a month ago with the understanding that it would be their dinner menu as it was advertised on their website as “Menu for the night includes our full menu”. We were surprised that the menu was actually their lunch menu so we ended up trying to order different things to make it our “dinner.” The food was good, nothing special, but it would have been nice to know beforehand. If I knew it was only going to be the lunch menu, we would have dined somewhere else to celebrate Christmas Eve.

The menu is very limited. The ambiance could have been better given it was 3 days before Christmas - not much seasonal decoration. The overall experience wasn’t as good as it’s been in the past.

We enjoyed our lunch today, some of us more than others. French Onion soup and duck confit salad were exceptional, as were the profiteroles and crème brûlée. Atmosphere is always great!

We had a lovely dinner in the dining room. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional! Thank you Narco! The staff couldn’t have been nicer, especially Amy in the bar area for happy hour. Thank you all!

I was served mussels under soup I had to eat it in a flat saucer so all the sauce spilled over the table. The food was excellent but the utensils to eat it with was lacking couldn’t enjoy sauce coz it spilled over the table . It was messy.
