   We love Ra but just had an extremely unpleasant and frustrating experience at the Westheimer location. Service was annoyingly slow: slow for the waitress to come get our order, slow to refill our waters, slow to get our food, empty plates were never picked up. Our waitress was not around and we had to ask different staff members for water, for a fork, for the check, for the promised birthday dessert - which we did not get by the time we had to walk up to the cashier to pay our check and leave after waiting for so long. The sushi roll and miso soup were good, but the chicken teriyaki was too plain, dry and the veggies were soggy. I had a $20 certificate that we attempted to use - which really was the main reason we visited today instead of going to another restaurant. Upon paying the check we were informed the certificate was not valid on sundays- but that was not shown anywhere in the email I received. Both the staff and manager seemed bothered by our questioning and showed zero empathy, willingness to help or make it right even after I showed them the certificate email which is misleading and not specific about restricted dates

   Joslyn and Tera (my apologies if spelled incorrectly) were absolutely AMAZING. They were very attentive and had great recommendations for drinks. This was our first time eating at RA and will DEFINITELY be back.

   Poor service, un-fresh food. Our server- Michael wouldn’t leave for more than 4 minutes until we ordered our food, then once our food came out (all at once), he didn’t come back until we informed him we weren’t happy with the food. Despite barely touching most of the food, nothing was comped, he didn’t apologize, and was rude when delivering the check. Will not be back! Food was atrocious and low grade. Everything was ‘cheap’

   I had a great time celebrating my birthday. The drinks were amazing. The service was excellent. Everyone said they like their food. I had an issue with mine. I got the lobster and filet mignon roll and it was pretty pricey, and it was not good. The only good part that was good was the fried Lobster. The roll itself was not tasty at all. I will be back, but I was disappointed. I wanted to treat myself.

    We are repeat customers to RA Sushi and always enjoy the food. We primarily eat sushi rolls which are always very tasty and fresh. This time we went during Happy Hour and took advantage of terrific deals on food and wine. Service was also great. Michael and Nia were very friendly and fun. They were attentive but did not rush us and allowed us to have a relaxed evening. Overall a great experience and recommended.
