   The food was not good and prices were very high. The waitress was not good and we were waiting for food and beverages too long.

   The host was not very welcoming, seemed unhappy to be there and didn’t set the mood right. Food took a while when we only ordered 4 rolls nearly an hour of waiting.

   I gave this location basically a two-star because the food took too long to come out literally waiting 30 minutes or more on several dishes and the sushi was horrible compared to the one in Newport Beach. If you compare the two it was night and day I suggest you go to different locations and the prices they're charging for wagyu is ridiculous because I'm in the food industry and I sell it and a roll that we ordered for my friends had about a fingernails worth of walk you on top versus the photograph I saw on the menu I would consider that some form of false advertisement. What you see is not what you get and I know food very well I've been in it for a very very long time. Our server tried his best so I compliment him for his efforts but when it comes to the execution of the sushi bar it's below the normal standard. There's more that I can add to this review but I will not because there's always room for improvement so focus on your sushi quality and the amount of certain things that are on a photograph that do not appear the same when you receive it especially if you are paying customer. It seems as though you get better service if you are sitting inside because I was watching the front of the house staff. Whoever's in charge of the Expo Window should be more aware of the timing of the orders coming in versus the orders coming out of the kitchen. I hope you improve in the coming months as raw is one of our customers and I'm very surprised to have brought friends there and had a subpar dinner.

   Nice and welcoming service from when we walked in until we left. We arrived early from our family group dinner, but they were very accommodating and seated us right away into the dining area with beautiful round red globe lighting, trees sculpted out of rebars, and excellent lively music to complete the atmosphere. All of us enjoyed our drinks. My skinny naked lady martini was bright, tasty, fresh, with orchid accent. Our party shared variety of sushi, nigiri, and rolls like Gojiri. Take advantage of ordering the crispy rice rolls and Viva Las Vegas rolls from happy hour menu. They put a smear of a sauce that reminds me of Chinese bbq plum sauce. It wasn’t unpleasant, but just tasted a bit disconnected and unnecessary. Everything was delicious and fresh. We dined on a Tuesday evening. It was not crowded. We will be back and highly recommend.

   Our server was excellent. Manager was super nice to put on the NLDS game for us while we ate. I had never tried the seared rolls and I found them a little salty but the hand rolls were good. We loved the garlic edamame and the mango ceviche.
