   While the food was good and ample, and our server was very attentive, two things bothered me. 1. The size of our table. We sat at a table for four and only three of us dined. We barely had enough room for our drinks, food, and chips. We had to use the empty chair to place our smaller dishes and items we were not using. Each of us commented about how crowded it was and that we had to rearrange the items on the table. 2. My wife ordered a glass of chardonnay which was served warm. Then, we ordered a bottle of chardonnay. One of the guests at our table asked the waiter if it was chilled. The waiter who was holding the bottle said he didn't know if it was chilled, or not. It was not chilled and, in fact, was lukewarm. So, between being crowded and having lukewarm wine, the meal was not a hit. When we lived in Austin, I loved Z'Tejas. We drove an hour to revisit Z'Tejas in Kyle and came away disappointed.

   Food was excellent and it's a beautiful facility, but they need to add more soft surfaces (artful canvas wall panels or fabric draped across the ceiling) to absorb sound waves. Our server was slow to follow up on our tables needs, but, otherwise we had a great evening. I did note on my reservation that it was a birthday celebration, but nothing was acknowledged by anyone on staff. We didn't expect anything special, but acknowledgement would have been nice for the birthday girl.

   First visit. Had 5pm reservation and we were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the food and drink. The dessert was outstanding!

   **Disappointing New Year’s Eve Experience** I rarely leave negative reviews, especially knowing how hard restaurant staff work, but I brought a friend who was visiting from out of town to have a New Year’s Eve meal at your restaurant and the experience was truly disappointing. The restaurant was severely understaffed, which made for a chaotic and frustrating evening. I felt genuinely bad for the few staff members on shift who were clearly overwhelmed and doing their best under impossible circumstances. We waited an hour for a single order of fajitas, which is unreasonable even on a busy night. On top of that, they ran out of basic staples like chips and cornbread, which only added to the frustration. The restaurant should have either closed early or stopped seating guests once they realized they couldn’t keep up with demand. At one point, we saw a table get seated, and no one came to take their order for over 15 minutes. They ended up leaving, and honestly, I can’t blame them. It’s clear the management failed to plan for what should have been a festive occasion. I hope this was an isolated incident, but if you’re considering dining here on a busy night, you might want to think twice.

   They were understaffed and servers even quit while we were there. They were out of chips and no one knew how to make more. The food was not edible.

   Great time. Michael Petty was our server and he was outstanding. Thanks to Chris for confirming our party size and adding the extra seats we needed.

    Food was great! Service was a bit slow, it was Friday night so it was understandable but we were seated for 15 minutes before someone came to take our order. We were seated right by the band so it was very hard to hear each other. Overall, nice night. Would go again but definitely on a different night and seated somewhere else.
