Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. This branch is right on London's The Strand and, being in the heart of theatreland, is appropriately decorated with theatre imagery.

Perfect for myself and daughter for a pre theatre visit {to the Waitress - which was literally just across the road}. Our food was delicious and it was a perfect way to start our evening. The waitress was attentive - even though the restaurant was full. Would recommend

It was lovely and the food was served quite quickly. However, it took for ages to pay for after food. Apart from that everything was okay!

We found this by chance after being in London walking around with the children sightseeing really good for children

Nice restaurant to pop in for a pre-theatre meal but not for spending the whole evening. Food was good & reasonably priced. Considering the size of the restaurant could do with more than two ladies toilets and the night we were there one was out of use so long queue!!

Excellent meal and service. Very friendly and professional staff. The only issue I had was that the restaurant was downstairs and I am using crutches at the moment. There was no mention of access when booking.
