   This was my first visit to the new location and we were celebrating my husbands birthday It did not disappoint Food was excellent and our server was amazing Would recommend

   Zen is still my #1 choice for high-end omakase! They have quality and reasonably priced omakase courses to be recognized by the Michelin guide. Service is always professional and courteous, from wait staff to master sushi chef! Congrats on your new achievement! Well deserved!

   tldr - Amazing ingredients, poorly executed. I guess it's okay for its price point. I recently dined at a sushi omakase restaurant and had a mixed experience. The ingredients were truly amazing—each piece of fish was incredibly fresh and high-quality, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to excellence. The cooked dishes ranged from okay to great, adding a nice variety to the meal. Some stood out more than others, but overall, they complemented the sushi offerings well. However, I noticed that the way they prepared the sushi didn't quite meet the high standards set by the ingredients. The rice wasn't warm and felt rather standard, lacking that special touch that elevates good sushi to great. The craftsmanship in assembling the sushi seemed a bit off, which was disappointing given the quality of the fish. Despite this, the exceptional ingredients did make up for some of the shortcomings. If you're someone who values top-notch ingredients and can overlook some inconsistencies in preparation, this place is worth a visit. With a bit more attention to the sushi-making technique, it could truly shine.

   As innumerable others have noted the high prices make it difficult to justify any kind of quality, for example 20 dollars for a handful of small slices of roasted duck breast alone with nothing added, no veg, etc.... The service was great, the decor a little bit oldish and unmodern, likely the appearance that was aimed for, very odd and inauspicious location in a long dark strip mall on Woodbine, as for the food we tried various different items incl. the fresh fish which was outstanding but a bit crazy priced, perhaps not unexpectedly, some cooked apps which were definitely hit and miss and hamachi collar which came oddly without any sauce, something I have never seen before, ever, despite ordering it in numerous other Japanese restos. We made sure with the kitchen this was not a mistake and it wasn't. Another disappointment was the 'mid' (as my kids would say) quality of the rice, which in a great sushi place should be a wow factor. So I'm definitely not eager to go back for an omakase, given the above.

   The quality of food is amazing! That’s what made it so great in value! Service is good. Homemade dessert is another high point there. Highly recommended if really care about food quality.

    Very expensive. Lovely place, but very expensive. Difficult to find, even with GPS. The signage for the restaurant is next to nothing.
