Our head chef Cagri Ergin, born and raised Istanbul native with a passion for cooking and a love for the flavours of the Mediterranean and Anatolian regions. A degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Cagri has honed his skills in the kitchen and gained a deep understanding of the diverse cuisines that define their home region.

Our small and ever changing wine list is influenced by the season. Reds take the spotlight when it's chilly, while whites shine in the summertime. Sourced from all different parts of the world.

    Celebrate the end of the year and the start of a new one with us in a cosy, candlelit space filled with live music and delicious food. Chef Çagrı Ergin has put together a special menu for the night, inspired by his passion for wood fired Aegean cooking, and it’s something you don’t want to miss as we do have limited space. We’ll kick things off with cold mezes - fava, tzatziki, piyaz beans, and sour cherry sarma, perfect for sharing. Next up, hot mezes – think smoky charcoal shish and crispy calamari. Lamb cutlets and wood fired red snapper on for mains. We’ll have a great selection of wines poured by the glass, but if you want to do it like the Aegeans, we highly recommend pairing the meal with Raki. The menu is designed to be shared.

    Absolutely amazing food and great service. We only had the meze as that filled us up so we look forward to going again to try some of the other dishes

    Yakamoz is a wonderful restaurant that my partner and I make the effort to travel to every time we visit Melbourne. The staff are very friendly and always make me feel comfortable, being coeliac can be tricky but these guys never fail to provide amazing quality food that is safe for me to eat. Even when they took a little longer to bring our main meals they provided ongoing entrées and apologised profusely (we weren’t even bothered because we knew how amazing the food would be !)

    Yakamoz Mediterranean Restaurant is a true treasure! The warm ambiance, attentive staff, and delicious food make it a must-visit. We loved the hummus, muhammara and and the perfectly cooked lamb cutlers. The baklava for dessert was outstanding. Highly recommend for an authentic Mediterranean dining experience!
