Xiquita is a highly anticipated restaurant that brings the vibrant flavors and rich culture of Mexico City to the Mile High City. Inspired by the diverse culinary traditions of Mexico, Xiquita offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the country's indigenous ingredients and cooking techniques. Led by Chef Erasmo Casiano, the restaurant's name, Xiquita, is a playful twist on "chiquita," a term of endearment for Casiano's mother, and a nod to the indigenous languages of Mexico.

At Xiquita, diners can expect to find dishes that are both authentic and innovative. The menu features a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, such as tamales and tortillas, made with locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also enjoy unique creations like the Infladita de Carne Apache, a play on steak tartare, and the Tikin Xic, a Yucatan dish featuring fish grilled over charcoal in a banana leaf.

Join us for a dining experience you won't soon forget!

I liked Xiquita and was glad we tried it once! The Sikil Pal and Steak were really lovely, as was my wine. The cocktails and the tamales were good. Just good. However presentation was fabulous. Our server and the overall space had great vibes.

Amazing Mexican food, the drinks are great but the star of the show are the hand made tortillas and the tacos. I can’t wait to go back again

The ambiance was good and service was great. The cocktails were good enough but the quality of the food was just not there. If you are going to try and “elevate” this regional food from Mexico the ingredients need to be better than good and they fell short. The tostadas served with the ceviche were chewy. The Oaxacan elote was dry. The Gordita with the meat was soaked in what looked to be the fat of it. The only plates that were decent were the taco de pescado and taco de pato but $15 a taco?!……They should have been some of the best tacos ever but they were not. We won’t be back.

A wonderful collection of dishes, each one unique. Ceviche and the fish tacos were by far our favorites, but everything was good…and different. Family style so you can order a lot of different dishes and share. The ambiance was great with cinderblocks adding a Mexican feel. We had bench seating but they had pillows which made it comfortable. Our waiter was spot on with everything and helpful. Don’t really have anything negative to say; people had their favorite dishes but everything was good.

We came for the first time for New Year's Eve prix fixe menu dinner. The pico tinto was nice enough, and the beer menu could use some developing. The server was so lovely, but she could have been more prepared to answer questions about the menu. Amuse bouche was a masa dumpling/cake of sorts. The word that came to mind for it was "grounding." First course was tasty, and the salad was the star. It was light and refreshing and flavorful. The pozole was the most chicken forward pozole I've ever had, which I really liked, but I don't go gaga over pozole in general. I could have used a little more salsa verde and tartness. Course two was pleasant and yummy. The salmon was good quality in the citrus brightened it up. The mushroom sopecito was very tasty, with a slightly smoky char flavor to the black bean puree. The mushrooms had a nice brightness to them, though they could have had a little more developed umami flavor. Course Three hit a home run. The beef short rib had such a deep beefy flavor, and melted in your mouth. My partner said he felt transported! The plantain mash brightened it up, as did the slight touch of pickled onion. The mole of the duck confit was different and delightful, with a touch of blackberry! The skin was not crispy as I expected it would be, but it melted in your mouth and set off brain fireworks, as did the roasted carrots, which also had a wonderful hint of char to them. We enjoyed both desserts, which were quite different from each other. I'm not sure the aloe chunks added anything to the prickly pear sorbet, but I like aloe all the same :) The corn pudding cake was so different, and I loved the smashed bits and caramel that accompanied it. We requested new spoons, and I think the service team should have anticipated that for the dessert course. The espresso martini was perfect. Overall, we loved this meal and can't wait to come back to experience the regular menu! Thank you!

Perfectly fine but service was a miss. Probably not somewhere we’d go back to but fine for a one time visit
