Xiquet is an odd duck. The food is very good, exquisitely presented and served - and vastly overpriced. ($24 for a 750ml bottle of San Pellegrino.) The “affordable” section of the wine list is limited; the sommelier helped me choose a nice one for $200. Nevertheless, the upsell from the sincere and likable staff is funny. What galled me the most was this weird gimmick they have of offering a ten course tasting menu and then only delivering eight. That’s all I’ll say on this. It borders on false representation. However, I was out for a conspicuous consumption, birthday-dinner, “white table cloth”, destination restaurant experience - and I got it. So I’m satisfied, and have no qualms about recommending Xiquet if you want that sort of thing. However if you fancy yourself a fine dining connoisseur, this place is a bit of a joke and perhaps best avoided.

An outstanding experience at Xiquet. The combination of flavors and presentation was incredible, not to mention the warm hospitality all the way around. Chef Danny and his team gave us a night to remember!

Service at the restaurant fell very short of expectations. Surprising as communication in advance was impressive. They made every effort to understand food allergies and respect food preferences. Suggest you bring your own wine and pay the corkage fee. The wine options are stunningly expensive.

Disappointing for a Michelin starred restaurant. Food was OK, service was awkward and really just fair overall. There were exceptions of both food and service that were very good, but they were few and far between. Will not return, nor recommend.

This was an experience to remember!! The food was amazing and very well curated. I left not too full and certainly satisfied. I especially enjoyed the iberico and the prawn paella. We had the wine pairing which I can see why they won the sommelier guide, they were uncommon varieties yet and I appreciated the time and care they took to explain each course.
